Wilder would drop a bomb on an out of shape Andy and KO him. If a motivated and in shape Ruiz shows up, it could end up being closer to 50/50, but I don't think we will ever see that version of Ruiz. Ever.

Wilder wins. Ruiz has no footwork, he's not exactly elusive. Wilder can blast him with one of his long range right hands.
After seeing how easily AJ dealt with Ruiz, it wouldn't surprise me if Wilder just jabbed his way to an easy victory, similar to the first Stiverne win.

Wilder keeps Ruiz at distance and wins on points imo.

Interesting fight, interesting styles, but if Ruiz turned up in shape then I'd favour him, he can box, he can dig a bit and he throws punches.. and throw in his very good chin, he is a tough nights work for anybody.

But if Ruiz turns up out of shape and can't close the distance then I'd pick Wilder.

If this was a burrito eating contest, Ruiz winds hands down.

I didn’t notice it during the fight, but fighters recognize that look, they search for it in their opponents, once they see it they know it’s over, they’ve taken all confidence from the fighter.

I think Wilder needs more than single punches to stop Ruiz. Fighters with really good chins usually need several punches landed on them in quick sucession to have success. And I do think Ruiz has a really good chin, only floored once and he was caught square on when Joshua bowled him over so as much a balance issue as anything else.

Wilder can't really throw decent combos so if he can't get Ruiz out of there with a big right hand and Ruiz is in shape (for him) I pick Ruiz late or by points.

Wilder can still punch and has a major size and athleticism advantage. Andy can bang as well and I would like to see this fight. Assuming Wilder comes back at full strength and Andy gets in his best shape. Also, Wilder should ditch the heavy ring walk gimp suit. We wouldn’t want his legs to get too tired. Wilder by late KO!

If these guys fight, I’ll be rooting for fat Andy. It’s not every day we get to see a pro athlete in worse shape than me. Made me a fan for life. Plus it’s fun to see the excuses flowing from the Wilder camp. Makes me chuckle.

Ruiz could and should get in on him and blast him out early or wreck him for 12 rounds if he wanted to play it safe on the inside. Or Wilder could tee off on the shorter man and blast him out early or late. If 180+ pound Ruiz shows up, Wilders' terrible jab might just nab it on points.

The game plan to beat Wilder has been clearly laid out, whether any boxer apart from Fury can follow it to success is another matter.

Wilder has been exposed as a one trick pony, ok that trick is a explosive one, and it took a behemoth to actually expose it.

However i think that a shorter, solid, skilled boxer with a sound chin could rework that gameplan, a fitter focused Ruiz could be that boxer.

Wilder could well go back to the drawing board and work on his many exposed by Fury deficits, which could change things, however if he doesn't then another heavy will run with the gameplan to beat Wilder, whether that is a fitter Ruiz or another heavy we will have to see.

I could see the unmistakable signs of concern, discomfort and even fear in his eyes as early as round one albeit they were a lot more subtle than they were in that shot of him I posted and best believe The Gypsy King picked up on that immediately.
