X2. You've saved me having to write all that out. I think this fight would mirror Wilder Ortiz 1 unless Wilder is completely mentally shot by the Fury trouncing.

I think Wilder can take this one. Ruiz has a good chin, but I still think Wilder will KO him. Ruiz was absolutely hopeless against Joshua fighting on the outside, he was crap going inside and didn't seem to cut the ring off at all. Wilder will land the bomb at range early

Ruiz has very good fundamentals combined some real craft and guile. He works angles well and has very fast hands. I could see him actually allowing Wilder to come forward but would move off to either side and wing in clusters of counter punches.
With Wilder getting disorganised and frustrated, Ruiz would begin to get inside very quickly, using his low centre of gravity to push him back. All the time, Wilder would be winging and missing or landing on arms, gloves and shoulders. Ruiz tucks up very well.
I imagine a hurt, confused and gassed Wilder being stopped between the 7th and 9th rounds.

I doubt Ruiz stops Ortiz tbh so everybody picking him to beat Wilder are making sand castles.

I would have to pick an in shape Ruiz.

That said, I think an in shape Ruiz beats AJ too.

He does in my opinion. Ortiz best win is Bryant Jennings and David Allen went 9 rounds with him. Can’t see what the fuss is all about with Ortiz. He’s powerful because he hurt Wilder? Well Fury apparently has no power and he beat him pillar to post.

Well, he can fight Ortiz and we'll find out. Personally I think he'll struggle to outbox him or land a KO like Wilder did twice, especially if his conditioning is at 285lb or close.

Wilder’s entire persona is a façade, always has been. The bubble has been popped

I think Wilder. I thought Ruiz would decimate him at first because of his style, but I can't get over how lazy that dude is. I'm not sure he'll ever do anything in the division now that he got paid twice.
