True, but he does have solid R hand L hook combo, a little wide on his punches, but he tries to put them together, especially early in a fight. I agree that Ruiz should have no trouble KOing him though, as Rossy has a tendency to forget to keep his guard up after throwing wild shots. Decent stay busy fight for ruiz.....but 22 fights in and Rossy is his 2nd best opponent next to Hanks. I think it's time Andy took the Euro tour and went after some of their high level joureymen like Bahtov, Sprott, or Bydenko. Then jump in with a top 30 like Glaskov, USS/Monsour winner.....someone solid, known in the US, and that will help him earn the respect of a larger audience. :think
I'm actually more interested to see how much weight Ruiz jr lost since he got sidelined as the actual fight.
Me too. I always want to see him in action but the weight issue has me wondering what's up? Do you know if he ever gained major weight (fatter than normal lol) or do they just want him to look more fit?
i wanna see that fight so bad !!! but were not gettin it any time soon. hbo / showtime conflict i hate it more then anything. i wish the fighters would speak up but nowone really wants to fight the best any more. its the truth.
but u cant speak up if your Adonis. cuz he wasn't speaking up wen he was fighting on the same network as kovalev. n the he switches cuz he knows the fight wont happen he starts running his mouth , thats just unacceptable and i love how stevens called his ass out on that one. i respect Stevens he wants to fight the best. he bossed up to adonis right there .. and i know stevens would be down to move up to 168 and Adonis move down to 168 to make that fight happen cuz curtis is willing to face the best.
How did we go from a thread about two heavyweights (each of them anything but "light") to discussing a couple of light heavyweights? :huh - without even leaving page one?
[yt]iKtgbWbeUW8[/yt] vs. [yt]iJi-khsAXZs[/yt] ...is a mismatch, enough said. Ruiz >>>>> Hamer >>> Dawejko > Rossy.
Just a stay busy fight... Ruiz will be in with a better opponent next time out, but definitely a step down from Hamer.
