Prime 1973 wild swinging George Foreman, hits Andy Ruiz so hard, that Andy crashes to the canvas in round 2, Ruiz stays down for the count, seeing little Snicker bars dancing around his head. It would be easier than when George knocked down World Champion Joe Frazier 6 times enroute to a TKO 2, in Kingston, Jamaica,on Jan 22 1973, to win the title. George will not give Andy any time to breath, just as mentioned in my previous post.

Why are there so many Ruiz nut huggers posting these types of threads comparing him to legends when he couldn’t even decisively beat Parker who is not even a top 5?

I wonder if back in the day when Douglas beat Tyson, they would compare him to the old time greats too if they would have had access to the internet. But maybe then they had barbershop discussions about it.
    Douglas vs Joe Louis
    Douglas vs Ali
    Douglas vs Holmes
    Douglas vs Foreman

When I see a fighter looking like Ruiz, I just can't take him seriously because he simply should be in better shape than that.
However what I forget is that no matter what you look like, you can still be a genuine fighting man possessing talent.
Ruiz proved that against Joshua, now we need to see how things pan out in the return and how his career develops from there before I'll consider giving him any kind of shot against George Foreman.

There's a few people that it's foolhardy to stand in front of or walk down. You have to move laterally or in and out to beat them. Foreman (both incarnations) was one of those people. No one who stands in front of Foreman or attempts to walk him down has a chance. Everyone who beat Foreman did so on the fly (except Ali).

Andy is not a mover. Andy would look to catch and counter with quick hands. That would be a disaster for him.

I gave Ruiz a pass against Frazier but it ends the same way as both Frazier fights here. Usually older Foreman handles match ups better ,but in this case i'll take 74 Foreman, and I think the AJ rematch will show Foreman wins this one, a too big,to strong guy coming in to win. If Ruiz pulls of the upset again maybe I would have to look at this match more but I don't see it.

Ruiz has the jab to the body and the patience and counterpunching to trouble Foreman, remember, Ruiz ain't like Frazier in terms of just coming forward and throwing anything he can land no, Ruiz doesn't waste punches and Foreman could time people who dipped down and rolled, Ruiz don't do that, he paces his way in behind the jab and waits for you, I do see Foreman catching him at some point, but whilst he's behind on the cards

I would give John Ruiz a better chance against Foreman with his jab and grab style. Both Ruiz get KO'ED by Foreman.
