I'm not sure Ruiz can win whether he comes into the fight overweight or obese, but I do think because both have good power and fast hands that it would an explosive fight however long it lasted. I give Rudduck the edge as he can actually run around the ring and has an iron chin.

I agree with the other posters Ruddock by KO for me he has more explosive power than Joshua. And he wouldn't get rattled like Joshua did in his 1st meeting with Ruiz.

Ruddock was facing the most feared Heayweight at that time in Mike Tyson, and anytime he got floored he got up laughing and took alot of punishment vs Tyson and kept firing back.

Ruddock was a big solid Heavyweight with one punch KO power, that happened to face Lewis, Tyson. Against most other Heavyweights in this era he would match up well with most of them.

Pre the two Tyson wars Ruddock by brutal KO. Post the Tyson fights Ruiz by Decision.

Ruddock had a relatively weak chin. Even before Tyson and Lewis, he was stopped by David Jaco, and of course, went on to be stopped by Morrison. I am sure there are a couple more, there, that I forgot. Bonecrusher put him down.

There were mitigating factors. He claimed an asmtha attack. But no, not iron.

Prime Ruddock stops Ruiz who walks into some massive hooks. The later version still would have a good shot at winning, Ruiz is average and vastly overrated.

Ruddock never had iron chin. He was dropped hard by ageing Smith, Lewis knocked him out and Morrison dropped him hard and stopped too. Tyson also dropped and hurt Ruddock few times

Ruiz absorbs the punishment, and gobbles him up.

Those are all massive hitters though. He had a pretty solid chin.

Have you ever seen Jaco fight ? There was definitely something wrong with Ruddock. He was on the ropes absolutely exhausted then the round ended and his corner threw in towel. His chin didn't let him down in that fight, and i heard he went to hospital after so I don't think it's Ruddock just making excuses.

Morrison is a huge puncher and the knockdown of Ruddock was one of the best left hooks ever thrown.

Tyson and Lewis are also huge hitters.

And Bonecrusher can also bang aswell.

To claim Ruddock had a relatively "weak chin" when hes the only man who went the distance with Tyson going toe to toe, and he had broken jaw aswell is a bit baffling in all honesty.

Weak chinned fighters don't stand toe to toe with Tyson and go 12 rounds.

Ruiz isnt better in any way than 1991 Tyson.
    In no way whatsoever.

I would put my life savings on Ruddock.

The beating Ruddock took over 19 rounds is more than enough to ruin or atleast greatly diminish any fighters punch resistance. The bombs landed in those two fights are some of the most vicious, devastating and fully loaded up punches ive seen landed in ANY heavyweight fight. They tried to knock each other out with every swing for 19 rounds and its a minor miracle the rematch lasted 12.

There are other brutal wars like Bowe Holyfield, ibeabuchi-Tua or Frazier Ali but most of the punches there were chopping, workman like shots or parts of combinations and not home runs by One-Punch KO Artists.

So i find the notion of Ruddock having a weak chin somewhat idiotic. Especially since Lewis and Morrison are huge hitters anyway.

"Iron chin," the phrase that was used, means you take punches off of big punchers.

There was nothing baffling in what I said.
