Andy Ruiz performance was 100% Mexican style, not that BS Mikey Garcia pulled...

    What does this mean?

Ruiz was a huge underdog vs AJ, even more so then Mikey was vs Spence

He knew going into the fight he had to give it his all, take risks. He was going into that fight to either Knockout AJ or get knocked off. He got dropped, he could have easily played it safe and held or retreated, instead he got off his ass and came back swinging, he lands a shot that changes the fight. He continues to apply that Relentless Mexican style pressure and it folded AJ

What Mikey did was a disgrace. He knew he was up against it, he took 0 risk, played it safe and was happy to survive. Thats not Mexican style.

Idk why Ruiz even let Mikey walk him to the ring...

ydksab. they had the same game plan against 2 different caliber fighters. mikey couldnt win the distance battle, but he kept marching forward like a soldier.

Me and although a lot of my favorite fighters are Mexican, I try to avoid that type of talk and just root for the fighters I like.

I don't agree 100% with Chicano but Mickey did not try his hardest in that fight. He was too afraid to get KO'd.

what is too afraid to get ko'd? whats the demarcation between afraid and too afraid? the man spent more time moving forward cutting distance than his much bigger, stronger, and FASTER opponent, same guy that nobody wanted to fight. he took his licks, and when given an out, said no.

He moved forward but just mostly raised his guard and took punches. He didn't try anything different, didn't go for broke. He was happy to survive. I realize he was outsized but he chose that fight.

Hmmm. One guy could hurt his relatively easy to catch opponent with every fourth flush power punch, the other couldn't just not hurt his opponent, he could barely graze him with a solid punch.

    Completely uncomparable performances.
