Why bring up their age, Hunter's only a year older it's not like he was much older and how did Ruiz Jr weight 190lbs when he was competing in the above 91kg weight class which means he'd have to be over 200lbs?

While it's true it was a long time ago it suggests there isn't a big difference in terms of their level. Personally I think Hunter beats Ruiz Jr but that's just my opinion.

Ruiz would easily out box Brezeale.

I cannot believe I somewhat agree with Dubblechin on this , your also right BrightonBomber I would favour Hunter to win . Things change since the amateurs I gotta agree with Dubblechin on that look at AJ V Whyte in amateurs , going by amateur fights is never the best rule of thumb but's it's a point to be taken . Hunter is in shape and honestly I believe a harder fighter . I respect both Ruiz and Hunter and think the division is only stronger with both of them .

Hmm , difficult to say Breazeale can be beaten providing you keep him off his pace and cut him off from his initiations . Which is why I favor Breazeale against Wilder . Ruiz atm it's hard for me to tell he certainly has work rate and a fair few people rate him so I ain't taking Ruiz lying down .

Why bring up age? Because a month before they fought, Ruiz was 16 and an amateur. Now he's 29 and a professional. And you're saying a fight when they were kids 12 years ago proves who is clearly superior now.

12 years is a long time.

Yeah but it's 12 years for Hunter too, both will have improved since then obviously, difference is one got fatter the other got fitter.

Obviously one fight as and amateur that long ago doesn't mean Hunter definitely beats Ruiz Jr but that's not what I'm saying in regards to that amateur fight. Some people are saying Ruiz is a better opponent but what is that based on? A close fight with Parker who was caught between styles at the time? Me highlighting the fact Hunter has an amateur win over Ruiz suggests that Ruiz being deemed better may not be the case.

Maybe Ruiz Jr does beat Hunter but I don't see it. I think Hunter is the more skilled of the two, he moves better, has better head movement, fights with greater intensity.
