Ruiz is probably the biggest fraud in the division. He has ducked numerous fights, proved himself out of others, and put in the worst title defence of the modern boxing era. No top contender should give him the time of day, he’s a waste of time and at this point has one foot firmly out the door.

I can't stand Ruiz. Goofy simpleton. A fight with him and Wilder is ideal as I'd be happy if either get KTFO.

The Saudi's do not care about Ruiz.

Yes he has the Mexican fanbase, but he has no belts, no ranking, and has been very inactive. It's not as if he's bringing in Canelo numbers either.

If he were smart he would've taken the Wilder fight and tried to have it in Cinco de Mayo. Two big hitters on a Mexican holiday=big bucks. That ship has sailed and Wilder is looking to finally get his match with Joshua if he gets past Parker. The Saudis will probably want the winner of that fight to face the Fury/Usyk winner. Ruiz simply has no room in the equation anymore. Those guys have had long careers and will probably retire once the dust has settled win/lose/or draw, and won't be interested in a tough fight with the still game Ruiz.

He did this to himself. Shouldn't have been out of shape giving a half-assed effort against Joshua in the first place. Shouldn't have been so inactive, and shouldn't have priced himself out like he's some big shot. Fighters seem to always forget that just because you were a former champion doesn't mean you're still worth the big paydays. This is the same problem Keith Thurman has...nobody gives a damn about Thurman anymore. He expects to just skip the line past all the ranked contenders who have been staying busy to get a fight with Crawford (the same guy he made fun of and ignored).

Most modern fighters waste their primes, but want to be compared to Robinson, Ali, Foreman, Duran. Earnie Shavers gets slagged a bit for his losses, but the man had over eighty fights. Yes, they all get paid too much to remain motivated.

This is what I came here to say. He's a used car that still wants new car prices.

Nobody wants to pay him $15-20 million.
