A fit and motivated Ruiz Jnr could make waves at HW. He has great hand speed and good power. But yeah he needs to lay off those tacos and believe in himself.
Clearly you have not seen recent pictures of him. He has dropped ALOT of weight and looks in good shape now. An in shape and motivated Ruiz Jr is a top 10 HW. He does have some ring rust to clear first.
Have been keeping an eye on his instagram, while he hasn't blown up to levels he has been at before I was disappointed to see that he's not been really working on his base fitness on that lay off he had. Seriously, if you're going to be a professional athlete why the **** wouldn't you work on it. It particularly bothers me when there is potential like ARJ has... I expect him to destroy this guy and hopefully will work his way into contention soon. I am a software engineer by profession and it irks me when I see some of these guys making me look fit - even if they would kick my ass haha.
his cardio is good / his handspeed is good / his jab is very good/ he lacks power and legspeed. solid fighter with talent / saw him interviewed recently and looked soft but then again i have never seen him ever withg any muscle definition so it seemingly does not effect him. financially it does though a doughboy image does not sell many tickets or tv slots with the money men. hard to take seriously as a fighter if you dont look like one. not fair but thats life.
Yeah he's lost some weight, but he's still fatter than Arreola ever was. He's basically gone from borderline morbidly obese to just obese.
