These guys couldn’t avoid each other. Tua has the power edge, but Andy is faster. Who takes it?

A prime motivated Tua knocks him out Ruiz went life and death with a very faded Chris Arreola. Can you imagine Ruiz trying to exchange punches with Tua like that ?

Tua had issues with boxers or movers not fighters that stand right infront of him, yes Ruiz has handspeed but hes obese and stands right infront of you Tua would take his head off.

Andy by a lopsided UD. The thing is, Tua could not box at all. Andy on top of the skill and handspeed advantage actually had a footspeed advantage and despite his size could actually move a bit. Andy also had a chin that could hold up to Tua's single shots and not get tagged by multiple.

I'm not seeing all these things you see Ruiz caught Joshua with a temple shot in which he didn't recover from good on Ruiz for taking his shot.

But what apart from that when has Ruiz really ever outboxed anyone ? A very faded Chris Arreola went to war with Ruiz and dropped him and went full 12.

An almost 50 year old Luis Ortiz pretty much won every round vs Ruiz apart from the rounds he got floored in.

A completely shot Liakhovich went the distance with Ruiz in which Ruiz didn't look impressive.

As I said earlier Ruiz has good handspeed and above average durability, but I don't see style wise that an obese fighter like Ruiz who likes to trade punches and isn't a mover/boxer which is what Tua struggled with. Warrants favouring Ruiz by wide UD which seems a strange pick to me.

So, by this logic, Arreola who dropped Ruiz hits harder than Tua?

    Bro, you ok?

But what apart from that when has Ruiz really ever outboxed anyone ? A very faded Chris Arreola went to war with Ruiz and dropped him and went full 12:

but Chris only won 3-4 rounds.

An almost 50 year old Luis Ortiz pretty much won every round vs Ruiz apart from the rounds he got floored in:

I actually agree, Ruiz was lucky here for Ortiz's chin having been destroyed by Wilder because he was totally outboxed.

A completely shot Liakhovich went the distance with Ruiz in which Ruiz didn't look impressive:

This I believe was more Fat Andy being out of shape, I'm pretty sure this fight was his heaviest (minus the Joshua rematch). He was in no condition.

The thing is, Tua is a far more subpar boxer than any of those 3 even their declined versions. I've seen Fres 'freakin' Oquendo dominate him until he got domed by Tua. The number of fights I've actually seen Tua horribly losing before the home run is amazing. I'd definitely bet Andy (Joshua I) could beat Tua. I'm no fan of Andy, but it's not a herculean task to keep Tua at bay. Guys nowhere near as good as Andy have.

Ruiz is durable, he's been dropped and recovers extremely well. Most of Tua's knockouts came in combination, he stuns with (normally) a left hook then finishes the opponent off in combination. I'd definitely bet that Ruiz could evade getting caught by multiples from Tua. Now current Ruiz nah. But we're talking about the best versions of both

I'd say to you guys go look at his fight against Cissi Salif on youtube. A 260 pound guy that was durable but neither as skillful or quick handed as Fat Andy. He lost but it was a very close fight, tell me Ruiz couldn't do the same.

Tua doesn't have remotely enough inventiveness to take the majority of rounds here, or make it close, to be frank. Ruiz Jr can take a dig too. No one-punch rescue for D. Tua in this case.
