Who wins? There is a high likely hood they will push for this fight next if Ruiz will continue fighting on DAZN. If Hearn has rights to televise Ruiz they will let Joshua take an easy fight next before rematching Ruiz...AJ is one of their biggest cash cows, and it would be stupid to throw him back in there without making proper adjustments (new trainer, etc) With all that said Ruiz vs Whyte would be a great fight, either guy could win...and after tonight I'd lean slightly towards Ruiz.
Ruiz would be a fool to take that fight next. He needs to defend against a big name to make his money.
I would on this day favour Whyte but this is an issue I made on a thread about Wilder possibly being well managed in that Whyte has been having alot of tough fights. Yes I know Ruiz has fought Joshua and Parker but had more of a build up before having those fights compared to Whyte. I think either could win but favour Whyte
Well DAZN will have to pay Ruiz some serious buck for this fight just to keep titles in DAZN realm, and that's expected
Obviously Ruiz takes him out. Whyte is sloppier than Joshua and has worse stamina. Only one way this ends.
Boxing is not so obvious, styles make fights. Whyte counters well, he is shorter, moves differently, there is alot to consider.
Whyte has a better chin though and a left hook from hell, a punch Joshua landed multiple times on Ruiz. I would favor Whyte like 55/45.
Agreed, it’s a completely different fight. I didn’t expect AJ to lose for one moment but somebody as unique as Andy Ruiz you just never know!
I obviously expect the majority of the forum to say Whyte loses to everyone, all the time. It has become a recurring pantomime theme: Whyte can win this .....OHHH no he won't Trust me he has a shot. .......Ohhhh no he doesn't --------------------------------------------- Whyte has a better chance than AJ to beat Ruiz IMO, he wouldn't make the same mistakes AJ made, he never overlooks or underestimates any of his opponents and always gives the respect. He wouldn't leave himself open for silly counters, and he wouldn't go balls out on each exchange thinking he would come out on top like he did with AJ bout. Whyte would break down Ruiz the same way he broke down his previous opponents, with patience, counters, and setting up shots. Dillian wins this. It would be battle of the counter punchers, and Dillian has a good defense.
They‘re both on the same level imo, just watch the fights against Parker. I‘m not buying into Andy Ruiz being that elite heavyweight now, he is still clearly below the likes of Wilder and Fury. If he would win the rematch against Joshua, maybe i would change my opinion but until then he is Whyte/Parker level.
