Joyce won't hide like chinny Dosh. Juggernaut by decision in entertaining bout.

Exactly the type of fight joyce needs to chuck himself into but its a risky fight for him.

The problem with ruiz is hes a proper lump as well. 250 or 260 lbs. You can see joyce overwhelming a lot of guys sitting at maybe 220 or that. But he,ll struggle to overwhelm a good guy at 250 or 260 the same. Think hearn made that mistake with the joshua fight....thinking ruiz was just an out of shape guy at 250. But ruiz can fight at that weight even when 250 plus. Even at 283 lbs...joshua had to run about the ring half the night.

Joyce overwhelmed Daniel Dubois - billed by Frankie Boy as the hardest hitting next big UK Heavyweight talent since Lennox Lewis.

Joyce is no Tony Dosh PPV who caves in mentally and physically when hit with a mediocre power punch.

The juggernaut has heart, stamina, chin and more than enough power to splat Rice Pudding Rice Jnr.

Pity he will be in his mid 40s before he fights for a World Title due to rematch clauses.

I reckon he more outboxed/outexperienced dubois jurgen....who in the grand scheme of things is a relative novice in comparison.

Good win tho tbf...dubois has good potential...but big questionmarks there after the joyce fight and tbf the level of opponents frank was getting in for dubois flattered him.

Agree the juggernaut has all them strengths...but i think hes gonna come unstuck at the higher tier against the wrong opponent anyway. Although tbf hes changed my opinion of him massively....didnt really rate joe that highly but i,m becoming a believer in him nowadays. Still think him getting hit too much will be his downfall when or if he starts fighting the higher tier of fighter.

Hopefully we find out soon tho...crying shame the guy cant get a big fight. I,ll be supporting him anyway.

Either a banger (Gassiev) or a counter puncher/machine (Usyk/Fury) are the worst styles for Joe.

Joyce is suddenly the second coming of Foreman and Dubois’s stock has really plummeted on here. People forgetting that the lad was VERY competitive and leading on the scorecards against Joyce.

Joyce definitely isn’t AJ, and vice versa. Ironically enough if you could take some of the intangibles Joyce have and put them in AJ it would make the world of difference.

Joyce was good against Dubois. Very cool under fire, takes a punch and has great stamina.

I still don’t think it’s a gimmie he beats Ruiz. The guy has fast hands and is (or at least was) very sturdy.

Would love this fight to get made.

    This.

It would have been better if Ruiz were to face Chisora, with Del delivering Ruiz his seven five guys burgers before the fight instead of after!!

Joyce would win imo. Ruiz would have some success early but once Joyce upped work rate and applied constant pressure, Ruiz would come up short as has not got the stamina to keep with him. Joyce would win around 8-4 rounds on points imo, or stoppage win in last quarter of fight

No way would Ruiz fight Joyce. He's made his dosh and just wants some easy fights before retirement . He's got no real ambition now.

If they did fight Joyce would jab him to oblivion

I'm a Ruiz fan but Sugar Joyce has this in the bag.

Fantastic fight if it got made. Ruiz has fast hands and feet, which would set Joyce problems, plus he can bang a bit. Joyce is immensely strong and has incredible stamina.
I would favour Joe's accuracy and engine but anyone can get taken out.

Intriguing fight. Ruiz could land half a dozen punches to Joyce's one, the hand speed is big between the two of them. I Could see Ruiz out boxing Joyce for the majority of fight (even Takam was out boxing Joyce untill the premature stoppage and Jennings gave Joyce problems too). Before Joyce overall toughness, engine and jab sees him come very strong late on and stops Ruiz. Then again maybe Ruiz chinn holds out and he gets a points win.

It would make for a very good fight.

Last I read though Parker and Ruiz were in talks for rematch though.

Both can box and take a punch but the longer man with better engine should win.

    Joyce points.
