At 70 years old Ortiz's workrate is simply not busy enough, Ruiz's team knows this that's why they are taking this fight.

Ortiz could outbox him but now that his legs are gone and his workrate lowers Ruiz should outhustle him.

Ruiz needs to be ready to work the distance though and put on the engine mid fight onwards. Can't be lazy in the stage where you should be working Ortiz over heavily.

Ruiz could easily walk into a big counter, he will need to hang tough in the first half and wait til Ortiz fades.

Ortiz looks vulnerable, Martin of all people gave him hell, but style wise this suits Ortiz but I don't think he can sustain it for more than 7-8 rounds. Question is can Ruiz survive those big counters and get up like he has always done before? I think he can and will, Ortiz will have his moments, even likely drop Ruiz but he won't be able to finish Ruiz and then Ruiz takes over in the 2nd half and stops Ortiz.

Neither guy looked good in their last outing but one thing that stood out to me was Ruiz couldn’t hurt Arreola where everyone had. I’m wondering if his win over Joshua had more to do with Joshua chin than Ruiz KO power. Ortiz still packs power. That was what saved him in his last fight but leg is gone. Will be an interesting fight where either could win.

Ruiz walks through Ortiz, and gets no credit for it. Also, it'll still somehow remain Wilders best win.

3 1/2 months away. Reason is it probably takes that long for Ortiz to get an approved day pass from his old folks home. That's beraucracy for you.

Ortiz fought four months ago and still looks in shape.

    I don't think he's the one who needs a 14-week camp.

Ruiz wasn't in shape when he ran Parker close and stopped Joshua. The guy is just fat.

Always easy to take pot shots at Ruiz, and some are deserved. No doubt he s/be fighting at least 2X per year. But what else is new among HWs that have gotten a few top paydays?

Andy should get an easy UD or stoppage vs. a rapidly aging Ortiz. The fight is also in Ruiz backyard.
