Andy will be beaten to death if he fights Ortiz the way he fought Parker. He's going to have to make it a tactical affair, which I highly doubt he's capable of, he loses horribly either way.

Is this a thing? I can't see any reference to such a fight - though it'd be a good dust up!

by the time they fight ruiz jr would have a nice youth advantage. and ruiz jr would prolly be more hungry becuz a another real run at the belt would be on the horizon. ortiz got his solid pay day. would get another decent vs ruiz but the hunger might not be there . ruiz is a quality fighter.

Good fight, if Ruiz has improved stamina with his weight loss he may be able to win late. If not, Ortiz by UD.

I think Ruiz is overrated, and Parker underperformed in that fight. Ortiz by wide decision.

This. Ortiz's is coming off a knockout loss and given his age, the Wilder fight may have been all the fight he had left. I think he'd be better off retiring or at least taking an easier fight in between. While Ruiz isn't the athlete Wilder is and lacks Wilder's power he has better defense and handspeed than Wilder along with a good chin and stamina.

Since when do they announce a fight between two non-titlists who just got their butts beat 6 months in advance?

Yeah I realise that, but the thread title talks about Ruiz vs Ortiz. Anyone heard anything about that?
