Leaning towards Ortiz by decision. Anyone who can set up punches on the backfoot and stick out a jab(with longer reach than Ruiz) will give Ruiz trouble. If Ortiz can still throw those uppercuts with both hands and the counter right hook, Ruiz will be in for a long night.

If Ruiz eats punches from Ortiz like he did against Arreola it will be lights out for Ruiz.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he did beat Ruiz. He's 6'5 and has an ok jab, but he can't move, lets rephrase that and say anybody that can stick and move decently can beat Ruiz

When i mean anyone i mean somebody who has at least gatekeeper level boxing skills. Luis Ortiz has these skills and I'd favor him to win a close decision

Not trying to make a joke here or be funny, but Ruiz wins as Ortiz is too old

He doesn't have at least gatekeeper skills on boxing negative but he is tall but i still wouldn't favor him. You have a Joseph Parker or Kubrat Pulev or Ortiz or hell a Whyte. All of these guys are at LEAST decent at fighting a range fight and if they stick with that gameplan they can beat Ruiz. Whyte has a glass chin so him vs Ruiz is a 50/50.

After last night it's clear either Ruiz's chin was affected by the weight drain but it's also clear he's overrated and no better than Chisora or Rivas. Ruiz at this point is in the top 10-15 but definitely not in the top 5. only top 10 fighter I'd favor or him at this point is Wilder

I dont think his chin has been affected

He fought two confident initially which was a mistake and his centre of gravity has been affected

    Not his chin

This would be a good fight after both having poor performances from their last win. Who would have a bigger glass chin if they were to fight? Will probably have many knockdowns if they were to fight

Ortiz's legs were gone against a Charles Martin who didn't press him because he was scared of his glass chin getting shattered which eventually it did.

Ruiz will walk through this shot to pieces Ortiz. Easy work.

Once jabs are putting you over it's game over. Ortiz still knows how to place his feet but once you lose the strength and you can't move quickly anyone with a pulse will walk over you.

He should get out but he'll find another payday and he WILL get stopped by the referee or corner when he is stumbling all over the shop and keeps falling over.

Ruiz just has to come in shape and keep pressing him.

Things have changed and so has my mind. Ortiz aint got the legs to box Ruiz. This will have to be a firefight. I think Ruiz stops Ortiz in round 7 after getting knocked down twice along the way
