Except Ike and Byrd beat beat Tua while fighting in Tua's range, and Tua never beat a good, big fighter with a chin.

Ruiz is not Byrd nor does he have the skill. Byrd didn't trade with Tua. He stuck and move using his fast feet. Ruiz is also no Ike. With the one exception of Ike, being granite chin, all other that Tua lost too where superior boxer that boxed him instead of looking to trade with him. His 3 lose in his prime where only to Byrd, Ike, and Lewis. So I have no idea where you get the "he only loses to granite chin fighter".

I don' know where you guys are basing your assessment of Ruiz as some great boxer. He is a get inside and trade punch fighter. Hopping his speed and decent power wins on the inside. He doesn't punch pivot and move. He will stand there and trade.

...and Byrd was a blown up cruiser/light heavy and Ike was green for Tua and getting schooled by Kirk Johnson in sparring.

Tua was easy to outbox and Ruiz is very difficult to knockout. Tua loses this fight unless he gets a knockout. I don’t think he gets it. Ruiz is more durable than everyone who Tua stopped. It is what it is.

Smh First off sparring is way difference than real pro fighting so stop.

Second off Ruiz Jr is a straight forward fighter which he likes to counter and use combination especially going on the inside. <<<>That style easily favors tua. Bryd a former cruiserweight who made vitali quit who knew. <<<Plus bryd is a very slick fighter who uses his footwork to outbox tua. Ike was the only fighter ever who had the great chin and power to stay in the middle of the ring to slug it with a prime tua. <<<<No way in hell that Ruiz jr would come forward and beat a prime tua because number 1? Ruiz Jr doesn't have 1 ko power and 2? Ruiz Jr doesn't have iron chin.

What does this video have to do with this thread considering jeff doesn't fight like Ruiz Jr? <<<Jeff fought basically exactly like bryd did. <<Ruiz Jr doesn't do that smh.

    ,

Tua once he ballooned over 240+, this type of fight could materialize. The prime version though..................

Tua for sure. Ibeabuchi was 6'2 all muscles all skills with a good jab and one of the fastest hands in the sport and had a tough fight against Tua. Ruiz is not at this level.

It's almost a nightmare reading comments praising Ruiz as one of the best punchers in history.

This man has nailed the fight, I see Tua blasting out a fighter that's coming to him.

Ruiz comes straight at you, is a sharp puncher but not a lights out puncher, has very little head movement, leaves his chin out to dry after he flurries and relies on his chin too much as a defense......Tua can be beaten in the trenches if you have superior speed, can crack with both hands, go to the body and avoid getting hit.....that would be Mike Tyson, he would beat Tua to the punch every time and make him pay plus Tua has no jab......Ruiz does not have the defense capabilities of Tyson throws only hooks not straights............the most likely outcome is that Ruiz is getting stopped in that kind of a fire fight......Tua has never spit out his mouth piece and quit so Ruiz is in for a long night.............one thing for sure, the 300 pound Ruiz from this weekend gets stopped, no ifs or buts.

Tua gets outboxed but lands some big shots and drops Ruiz, winning a highly competitive and close decision. Ruiz at his best could win it but I still think he’s overrated.
