Tommy would not be able to knockout Fat Andy..................Fat Andy would be a nightmare, a durable loaf that can take shots and has faster hands...........we've already seen what happens to Tommy when he gets overzealous and tries to trade. One thing Ruiz is great at is the catch and counter, and Tommy is wide open to be countered. And people are talking about Chris Arreola dropped Andy, but Andy got up........against him and Joshua.......and won. Would any of you really trust Morrison's chin to win a shootout against a guy with much faster hands?
Could be another Mercer affair. Morrison does well early but can't put away Ruiz and gets tagged. I think prime Mercer is marginally better than Ruiz btw.
Ruiz is exceptionally fast for a fat man. Also has very solid cardiovascular conditioning. Fat man rattled AJs skull and made him spit out the mouthpiece and quit. Wouldn't count the fat man out here.
Depends on which version shows up. The regular obese Ruiz of AJ 1 or the morbidly obese version in the rematch.
Morbidly obese Ruiz I'd give Morrison a decent chance against as long as he doesn't get caught or gas.
I'm going with Morrison faster, more power, Andy Ruiz was in difficulty against a Luis Ortiz and an Arreola at the end of his career.
Every time a former HW has a few KO losses, the picks usualy are all about him getting KOd again. As if it were that easy...
That's true, but at the same time Tommy struggled with Hipp, Purrity, and was KOed by Bennt. This is a good fantasy fight though, it's easy to make a case for either man.
Morrison fought in a much tougher era than Ruiz. I know the Bentt loss was bad but people **** on Morrison for losing to Mercer. Mercer arguably beat both Holyfield and Lewis. You think fat boy Ruiz would do any better against Mercer? People also act like Ruiz is a big puncher when he couldn’t even dent a very shot White Wolf, a guy Wilder clipped in like under a minute. For me, I think Morrison beats Ruiz. He had already beat better fighters than him in his career, like Ruddock.
Ruiz beats him. Morrisons left packed a wallop and he could easily outbox Ruiz, but his glass chin is the issue here. He is not known for being able to take a good hit. Whenever a shot Rudduck can drop someone early on in a match, Ruiz could probably shatter them with his fast combinations particularly if he gets lucky with a temple shot like with Joshua and Ortiz.
Stronger era based on what exactly? Morrison wasn't facing the top guys in any case aside from Lewis who handled him easily. Why should Ruiz have to be a big puncher when Morrison was stopped/dropped by guys like Mercer, Bentt, Purrity who are not regarded as huge punchers. Who did Mercer stop beside Morrison?
Morrison fought Lewis, Foreman, Mercer, and Ruddock. Even some of his lesser wins against Tillis, Thomas, and Williams were good wins. Ruiz fought AJ, Parker, Arreola (old and washed), and Ortiz (old, chinny, and washed). Tell me that is a murderers row of HWs. Resumes aren't even comparable. If you want to argue Ruiz wins H2H, that's fine but there is no way Ruiz fought the stiffer competition.
It depends which version of Morrison and Ruiz. Both at their best :Ruiz vs Aj 1 vs Morrison vs Foreman Id pick Morrison to edge Ruiz. Morrison showed that his party side reared its ugly head at times like the Bente fight, he looked tired and worn in that fight.
