Andy Ruiz vs Tyrone Spong official for July 16

Better than nothing, he has been unactive since May from last year.

 

Spong has knockout power and it would be ridiculous if he manages to knock out a probably unmotivated Ruiz, but Ruiz should win given his boxing skills...

 

Underwhelmed but it is what isn’t is. Ruiz has been inactive for ages but the criticism is valid IMO but not one anyone will lose any sleep over.

 

On paper it's truly terrible match making, Spong's last fight was against a blown up super middleweight. But Spong isn't half as bad has his record suggests, he can actually fight a bit though so far it's against the worst type of opposition. Wouldn't shock me if Spong made an unmotivated Ruiz look bad.

Pointless fight though. Hopefully Triller match up their two heavies Hunter/Ruiz would be a good fight. But wouldn't shock me if both just keep facing nobodies. The match making from Triller is so bad that they've redefined what scraping the bottom of the barrel means.

Has Ruiz left PBC? That would be good news for future matchmaking.

Triller has Hunter, Pulev and Ruiz. They have to make these guys fight each other after this crap.

 

HW division is a no mark anyway,might aswell enjoy some rock’em sock’em robots.

 

I assume that both of Spong’s belts are on the line?! Lest we forget that he is both the WBC and WBO LATINO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! I’m much more excited now. However, I’m concerned that I had completely forgotten about the LHC!

I guess 43 year old, no legs, no balance Ortiz is still too risky Chubby Jr.

Anyways, we could live with this, if it leads to another Thriller card between Ruiz and Hunter next.

I'm not sure when you guys will get it. Ruiz is a fat farce who will call out everyone and then fight a nobody. Hoping for that AJ pay day again. And you all supported him when his fat but tried to wiggle out of the AJ rematch. And some of you probably ordered the Arreola fight on PPV. Fury did the same thing and it worked on a lot of you too. He "came back" from a fake mental illness and depression to fight 3 or 4 bums until he got the Wilder fights. Meanwhile, Wilder was fighting all the bums he could until he got a better % in the AJ fight. It's not a competitive sport any more. It's a ponzi scheme

 

This fight will not happen i think.....

 

Spong is not a top 200 heavyweight in my book...mismatch for sure
