I agree. He came to Fals church, VA last year (about 15 minutes from the Distirct) for an autograph signing. When I approached him, his eyes got real big as if he were scared ( I'm 6', 200lbs .. but was probaly about 185 then ... I dont look intimidating ). My point is his reaction wasn't fear the night of the Peterson knockout. He did look surprised but quickly looked at the camera and said "I'm the best!"
Please. All this scared talk of professional boxers has got to stop. I can see being demoralized as Cotto did against Bricks Margarito. But scared? That's fanboy ideology.
Angel has got to make his fighter confident. Nothing wrong with that. Mathysse is a beast but it's not like Danny doesn't have a shot here. It's a great matchup which really deserves to be hyped, which is rare. Looking forward to the fight and praying to all patron saints to keep injuries off both men
i think ppl need to go back and watch some of matthysse's fights. he's not hard to hit. danny is going to put hands on him. on the flip side....danny appears to be easy to hit...but he's not. he blocks and rolls with a lot of punches and he's done so against much faster guys than matthysse.
Not once has Lucas's chin has been tested. he has never been in with a banger. This is his acid test.. when he realised how hard Garcia thumps. Personally I see him trying to out hustle Danny with Danny chasing him around the ring. I can envisage lucas getting off the canvas a few times. but will make it to bell .. When Garcia is hunting you down its a scary proposition. This may be a surprise but Danny could stop him for real.
will be a great fight... just re=watched the humberto soto - Matthysse fight.... and have to say there were times in the 3-4 round when they were exchanging blows and much smaller soto held his own... matthysse swings wildly at times...even against peterson he was all over the place with wild swinging. Overall Matthysse has the greater ability to win the fight... Although IF GARCIA can land a monster punch during the exchanges... Matthysse will go down... regardless of how good his chin is. All men can be KO'd even the machine. The longer the fight goes, Matthysse is more favourite IMO. Garcia is a big weltewr and cutting weight means he don't have too much juice in the tank in the later rounds....where even Zab outworked him. Matthysse is not small... but he I feel makes weight easier at 140 and is always good late on especially with his early bodywork. having said that... Garcia also goes to the body a lot. I think both these guys will be in a shootout. Which IMO will allow Garcia to compete more. If Matthysse is less reckless and picks his shots more... he will leave less room for Garcia to land a big punch. Matthysse can dictate this fight
tickled a bit for LM when Danny was caught flush by Judah he was hurt, I think it was in the 9th or 10th
:huhDid you read my post? I said he look surprised but he definitely didn't look like he feared Lucas.
