I'm not hatin'. After all , I did make this appreciation thread : http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=500123 Danny was looking for one punch all night long. That's a tactic a mentally shot to sh1t nonito donaire would employ. It's not the right way to go about things in a world title bout. You're not fighting pushovers. Angel was tellin Danny to "throw with power". Danny needed to do the opposite and throw quick shots in combinations a la Hopkins vs Tito. Garcia was eating the straight right because he wasn't keeping his chin tucked in like Herrera. This sh1t is basic fundamentals. Hopkins , who got Garcia a gbp contract and helped him prepare for lucas, said he would run with a tennis ball underneath his chin to instil the habit of keeping the chin tucked in during a fight. And after a while, the slapping to the face "WAKE UP DANNY" pep talk gets old to us and to Danny himself. You do it over and over , it's not gonna have the same effect, kinda like some pus sy you've been hitting .
Angel gave him good info. Move to your left, throw left right combo's and bend your knees. all stuff he needed to do
I had the fight a draw. And that was a fight where Danny fouled, and got a b.s. KD. And Lucas' eye was shut for half the fight. And I still thought the fight was a draw.
Man most people DKSAB :verysad Did any of you know who Danny was back on the day :think, he was another undefeated kid watched over by daddy...I think he is doing good so far, daddy is a genius
That fight went from a hard fought very close contest, in wich the borderline KD eventually determined the winner, to a schooling according to some and now he actually "starched" Lucas... Give it another few months and it was a first minute KO win in wich Lucas was carried out on a stretcher. atsch back on topic. Garcia had the wrong tactic sure, but things also have a lot to do with Herrera being massively underrated and clearly a stylistic nightmare for Danny.
Many bull**** threads about Garcia's poor performances last night. Everyone had a bad fight so why are you people so concerned with it? IMO, the fight was unclear who got beaten last night. Herrera looked a little bit better than Garcia after 12 rounds but the former couldn't control the fight. He got hit too.
