    Yeah, I remember that. :rofl

According to his last book, Angelo got fined almost his entire fee for that.

Dundee is just old school. 0:30

You can ask him about Berbick and the black trunks as well. He made Berbick wear solid black trunks to face Mike Tyson, because the champion has first choice of trunk colors. The challenger cant wear the same color as the champion without being fined. It was just a way for Dundee trying to get into Tysons head. Tyson paid the 10K fine instead of changing from his usual black trunks.

For those of you who did not have a chance to hear this interview, I think it's certainly worth a listen.

I, for one, could listen to Dundee talk about boxing all day. He provided some very interesting insight and told some really great stories.

I listened in last night. Nice to hear he is doing well. I told you hes a great guy, and is all for the promotion of the sport. I was suprised to hear he moved up to Clearwater but I think one of his children (daughter), lives up there?
Funny what he said about Foreman too that he didnt like screaming in the corner and that he felt he was a better fighter in his comeback. I disagree he was better, smarter yes, but physically no, not better.
When you asked about Berbicks trunks, its always interesting to hear how trainers approach a fight and the psychological gamesmanship, thats something I always believed in. He didnt care to talk about the losses too much. :yep

Actually, I thought he had a great sense of humor about the whole thing. He explained how you try to get any psychological edge you can get, and he went on to say "It didn't work" and laughed.

Even when he first came on the show, Jenna mentioned the last we saw him was when he advised Oscar De La Hoya and he immediately quipped, "Well, I didn't advise him too well" and again was able to laugh at himself. :rofl

    What a great guy!!

That he's nearly 90 and still sharp as a tack, down to earth, extremely friendly and so very personable is simply awesome!

I've been lucky and fortunate in the sense I've had the opportunities to speak with a lot of great boxers and trainers--but listening to what Angelo had to say was probably my most enjoyable experience in that regard.

I seriously could have listened to him all day. What a great man he is.

Thank you very much for tuning in!

    :good

Older brother Chris Dundee lived to be 91. It's been good to know Angelo inherited the same genes for longevity. (Eddie Futch lived to be 90, Ray Arcel 94. Was it all purely genetic, or is there some mental stimulus which tends to extend life expectancy in these people?)
