The funny thing is, that this forum is a predominately male forum.

More than 99.5% of the users are male, and of what females there are in this forum, they are in the lounge and not in the aussie forum, and Jack never ventures outside the aus forum.

ive dealt with angelo through work a few times and have seen him acting like a grade A f**kwit..
however saying that, ive also gained the impression that hes a great bloke to those that he knows and trusts and i do know he works very hard for boxing and is extremely passionate about the sport..
I dont know him well enough to say i like or dislike him but i definately respect what he has done for boxing..

 

Angelo Hyder should make the fighters the focal point. instead, he puts his name up in lights and puts the focus on himself.
Why does a fight night need to be called "the angelo hyder fight night"? there are so many other names you could call it, but he uses his own name to promote himself.
to suggest he isn't a self promoter is naive.

Get over yourself mate. You're acting as if he's a saint. Gandhi? yeah probably deserves respect. Mandela too. But Angelo ****ing Hyder? Get serious.

What does he "deserve" respect for?

Making money off his fighters?
Brazen self promotion to make more money?
Ripping off non house fighters?

Definitely characteristics "deserving" of respect...

 

Every promoter is going to have issues with various fighters at different times, but Angelo Hyder is without doubt 1 of the key men in Aussie boxing & a lovely bloke too who dedicates his life to boxing & the company pain away.
I wonder if you are a person or part of a team who had a falling out with Hyder, because the hatred & jealousy seems pretty deep.:think

 

Greatest mismatchmaker of Aus boxing. But is neccessary indeed. Him and Fenech should be congratulated for their work.

 

The way I see it with Hyder is that you can praise him a lot more then you can fault him.

For every bad story you hear about him behind the scenes there seems to be 5 good ones the negate them.

He loves the sport and works hard for it....Not many can say the same in aussie boxing.
