I watch him work the corner he also a trainorr. Even the bloke on the corner has no chance at all MR Hyder's still serious, hollering and acting up like a wild man. Did he have ADD as a kid? I find it admirable at the same time sad.

 

I met angelo last week he was in townsville for am australian titles with some boys and was comin to a gym where i do abit he seemed like a good bloke to me a funny ******* i reckon

 

I love it when Angelo yells at his fighter from the corner.

"Winky Wright Winky Wright" hahahah

And "B Hop Stevie, do the B Hop"

He is a credit to Australian boxing and i am for ever greatfull to some of the good shows he has put on through out the years.

 

Why praise a guy that puts on **** cards on a fairly regular basis. The whole Nitro thing is there just to get away with puting ordinary fighters on the TV. Why not match up our good fighters for TV instead of the crap we get regulary.

The card on Friday was the best one ive seen in years but dosnt make up for the amount of **** that ive had to endure over the past few years.

Angelo needs to forget about these bogus title fights Pan pac etc and just put on good fighters like the other night ,fighting against evenly matched opponents.

They also need to get some decent Thia's Indo's etc instead of the crap they have been getting, Maybe give them $ 200 a round instead of the pathetic $100 a round they get at the moment.

I would rather watch our top guys actually really tested even lose instead of KOing overmatched guys.

 

You must be running in competition to Angelo mate in some shape or form.
Angelo is one of the slickest operators in Austalian boxing. Many people dont know that his link with Vic Darchinyan is through Elias Nasser. Elias is Vics best mate and also Angelo's best friend and also his business partner, Angelo is with Elias is everything that happens around Vic and also their product Pain Away is that is going bonkers around Australia, I even heard that they are launching it overseas.
Dont judge a book from its cover with Hyder he puts on the best cards and is also the matchmaker for Grange on Fox Shows.

I have known H for a number of years now and have worked very successfully with him. Say what you want but the guy works phenomenally hard and gets opportunities for fighters in this region which would have been unheard of if it weren't for him. The sport in this country would be a lot worse off without him.
He is also a raving lunatic! Never have I met someone who could keep me in stiches for hours like he can. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am proud to call him a friend

 

About 6years ago I had a death in the family ,I had some boxing commitments that needed taking care and AH helped when asked .We where not friends but I needed a hand at the time and he fixed things up for me.WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW.

 

You fellas can all suck up his ass if you want, All im saying is he continuelly puts on **** cards, When is the last time there was a really good Hyder card on before Last friday. Without mismatches?

There are so many good matchups out there and we get Fox cards with first timers and the main event with Wills Vs Vella.

Fox puts on **** and we just get fed it.

 

I will answer my own ? it was Medley Vs Hlatswayo. A long long time ago.

 

Big Fella, although it lacked the polish and shine of two world rated fighters, the wills v vella trilogy was madness,mayhem and fine entertainment, like it or not it was the epitome of aus boxing. It was two hardcore warriors trying to knockout or be knocked out, it was the anzac spirit in a boxing ring

 

Im not going to comment any more but if people are happy to be fed **** then so be it.

He might be a good bloke but he isnt doing boxing in this country a favour by putting on the **** that he does. All boxing needs is some competitve match making, there are dozens of decent fights at all diffrent weight classes to be put on. Wills Vella probably wasnt a good example as they do put it all on the line even if quite limited.

Its more the mismatches that get me pissed as some cards you can tell the winner of every single fight before the night starts. So why bother watch.

Angelo may match up these fight cards. Most are mismatches as ive already stated.
Medley had to put his foot down to fight Hlatswayo. Why! he was sick of fighting tomato cans that Angelo and CO had got for him.

Im not jealous as you put it, Im just sick of boxing going further and further down hill. Matching our good fighters sensibly is the way to do it. Not feed them and the public a bunch of jokes until they have had enough and are dejected by the sport. The fighters and the public.

I think you are blaming the wrong person.Australia has very little money to bring good opponents here.(When Bill Mordey was running friday night fights he was getting 80k off fox. fenech undercut him and took 30k)Then you have the problem of fighters claiming they will fight anyone but try getting them together.

 

You say we have little money to bring people here, Well maybe if the fights were competitive then people would actually come and watch. Puting on mismatches dosnt do anything for the sport.

And a lot of promoters dont have any 30K to start with and put on better shows . Ever looked down at the Barry Micheal shows in Melbourne or Peter Maniatas shows. They are mostly evenly matched up and are great nights. Maybe they should be puting there shows on Fox as with another 30K there shows would be even better.
