The angriest fighter I ever saw ringside was when Rocky Graziano was the young wild terror of the lower Eastside in NY. In 1944 Graziano and a Frankie Terry engaged in the wildest, dirtiest brawl my dad and I ever saw at Dexter Park oopen arena. They hated each other from the first gong, dropped each other ,wrestled each other along with the referee to the canvas. Kicked each other and Rocky even took out his mouthpiece to bite Terry...The crowd went wild and police restored order. In the 6th round Graziano finally won this angriest of fights...And the kicker was, both Graziano and Frankie Terry were second cousins.! Imagine if they weren't related ?
When Dempsey rabbit punched anyone he looked FURIOUS. I think Dempsey takes the cake because I cant really remember him losing it and hindering a performance but he always seemed to want to inflict the most damage he could as soon as he could on opponents. Duran is another one that kind of turned in to an animal but most of the time could control it like in the brawl in montreal. Tyson against Tyrell Biggs and Larry Holmes I know was angered by the pre-fight trash talk and so on.
Willie Pep and Sandy Saddler must've been pretty pissed at each other, fouled each other very badly and slung each other to the ground when they clinched. Ike Williams looked bat**** crazy when he opened up on Beau Jack against the ropes, thought he was gonna kill him.
I know other boxers have done worse, but the end when Merqui goes after the ref is kind of funny..its funny because the ref just pivot steps from his punch. [yt]WhPHq6xNRNg[/yt] go to 6:38
Gatti and Ward in round 9,Gatti gets dropped by the body shot,Ward hammers him around the ring, but when Gatti starts coming back with a body attack he looks angry as hell,as if to say 'how the **** do you like it now'..
