You must be the brains of the operation then! That is without doubt one of the dumbest things (outside of anything by Ty), I have ever read on here! Go learn the rules of scoring Einstein atsch
Best to direct this question to Perfect Jet, he has never been a judge, never trained as a judge, admitted on here that he does not know the full criteria of judging, BUT - he did once towel down, Rey Anton Olarte's groin guard after a fight so he knows everything! :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
When I read the comments about this fight, like most who loath unfair decisions, I was expecting the worst. Last night I watched the fight. To say judging is a subjective exercise, this fight would have to prove it based on previous comments. When I score a fight seriously, it's Red corner, Blue corner. They may as well be identicle twins, but in the end, it just my opinion. This is the way i saw it. I have no idea why people would say Angulo got robbed. It became pretty obvious that by the 3 rd round Fernando was pacing himself (Weight issues). Jab, right hand, clinch... Jab, right hand, clinch. It became so repetitious it was annoying. It's one thing to take control of a fight by showing your opponent when & where the exchange will happen, but it has to happen. That's where ringmanship gets confused with failure to engage. There was a distinct reluctance by Angulo to remain engaged. I thought the referee was almost disinterested. There would be a hundred of his colleagues that would have not tolerated having to physically pull fighters apart. His "Break, step back!" was completely ignored for the whole fight. He repeatedly checked Angulo for holding without getting serious. Angula has an exciting style, when he is prepared to box for the whole round. He just never did imo. His long range bomber style has you oooing & aahhing all fight long. I thought Zappa'a body attack was relentless. When the bombs whistled over his head, Zappa flayed the body. While I couldn't justify a 116-111 on punch count, but I could understand the close rounds (& there were many) going to the fighter most willing to engage, & that would have to be Zappa. I scored the fight 6 rounds to 5 with the point deduction round being 9-9 even. That foul swipe Angulo took at Zappa's eye deserved what it got imo I saw it 114-113 for Lenny. I scored it round by round without assessment until the end of the fight. That's about as fair as you can get I hope. It was hardly a gift.
