Any news on upcoming fights? I looked on boxrec and nothing.
This guy was really exciting for the LMW division and I would love to see him fight either Martinez, Canelo, PW, JCC jr. or Lara.

Why the hell isnt he fighting!?!? i know he had some visa troubles but hell he can fight in Mexico. I thought he was about to enter his prime and it really sucks he cant fight for now.

Not a visa problem, he stayed illegally in the US and HBO said no thanks. His career is practically over unless the issue is resolved, and that would be some miracle considering the current treatment of illegals is the States.

Im sure its something a little money can fix. Its a shame his promoter is not on top of that.

:fireThat's great news to the boxers with a sliver spoon on their mouths..... Just like azteca said, boxing politics......... That's ****ed up! Can some one tell me how this rising young profesional boxer doesn't get a ****en visa !!!!!! When I know plenty of illegals that get dui's posession charges, domestic violence and all kind of **** get a ****en slap on the wrist!!!!!!! That's ****en bull**** on his ****en promoter too!!! He's a ****en threat and would be a very dangerous champion if not thee ****en champion!!! And given some tune ups with boxers he and martinez put on a competitive performance, maybe even reminiscent of margo/cotto with a coin toss out come.

So since HBO don't want anything to do with him, can't he take his show elsewhere? Or is he under contract with them? It s bucked up, a few years ago we thought Kirkland and Anglo would be heading into a mega fight.. Now look at them.

that's why i hate when fans say "it's to soon, it'll make more money and more sense in a few years"

**** NO....what better then when they're young, hungry, and full of agression.....just like bam bam vs ortiz....make that **** now....

As much of a canelo and cotto fan that I am, I say angulo would test their legitimacy as champs

At least if they fight then one of them would have been a start by now, maybe both of them...

Bam Bam probably won't date too well against a welter Ortiz... He was looking like a beast..

I have always thought Ortiz would stop Rios. Rios is just too open and Ortiz can seriously punch. I think its fair to say with the weight gain he gained also a chin and punch.
