If Mayorga comes into the ring at 170, and connects with a solid shot, Angulo will go down. Of course, if Angulo connects with a solid shot to Mayorga's addled head, he could go to sleep as well. I am looking forward to this fight, much more than the Mosley fight. Anything could happen here .
Gutierrez caught him clean that whole fight and he wound up for that left hook. There's no denying it hurt him but I say that fight shows he can take and recover from good shots which indicates a reasonable chin imo. His defense is a different story, but that's his style.
And Guiterrez isn't a bad fighter himself. He might be more of a threat than mayorga at this point. Im not sure bruh but Guiterrez even gave that B level Clottey all he could handle.
Just read that this is a WBC eliminator.Guess what HBO are trying to do? That's right: Forrest vs Mayorga III
Angulo will crush Mayorga in the 5th round but will get rocked 1 or 2 times in the early rounds before bringing it back on Mayo...
I can't wait to see the "WTF?!" look on Angulo's face the moment Mayorga takes his best punch and starts doing his typical Mayorga antics. Honestly the key for Angulo is the key for EVERYONE who fights Mayorga, survive the opening power onslaught. Mayorga pours the heat on the most from rounds 2 to 6...survive that and just wait for your KO in rounds 7-12. Assuming he doesn't get suckered into a war, he SHOULD be able to avoid Mayorga long enough for a KO11. Question is- CAN he avoid a war with Mayorga? About a 50/50 ish fight but I'll side with an Angulo KO as of right now.
Chances are he is a limited brawler and will engage Mayorga. That's why he is a better stylistic fight for Mayorga.
It's not funny at all.Mayorga IS fast, and was a hell a lot faster before than now and Angulo IS slow as hell.Your right on mark about this.Mayorga's game at WW was based on speed, besides power offcourse.
