Angulo v Mayorga

Great test for Angulo, & would be a great win for Mayorga.
Interesting fight, A defo cross roads fight with 2 different carrear paths.

I predict a K.O.

 

Angulo is a very powerful fighter, excellent pressure offense, but very controlled with his punches, straight and accurate. And he uses a jab, which is crucial.

Mayorga is still wild, still very strong physically, but his lack of discipline will cost him. Angulo fights very calm, judging by what I have seen, I cant imagine him being troubled and bothered by Mayorgas wildness.

Mayorga may take the first few rounds, but I see Angulo grinding him down and stopping him late.

we've seen mayo get up from one punch monster hooks like the one he got from oscar in the first round, but angulo's not that type. for being slow, he's surprisingly accurate, is a switch hitter, which may confuse mayorga, and times his opponents very well. i think angulo wins this one with intelligence, takes acouple of pop shots from mayo, but stays in the pocket with him. this kid was margarito's sparring partner, so should have some experience with taking massive shots. i'm sure angulo's main objective might be getting mayo's body, to slowdown the crazy, wildman, but the first rounds should be guaranteed action. i think angulo wins by decision
