https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRBpkMMsFf4 Just got done watching the fight, Rosado was game. The first knockdown was pretty nice, but Rosado recovered pretty well from it and went on to fight. Rosado had his faculties intact after the second knockdown. I would have like to see the fight go on. Regardless of what happened, I would favor Rosado to stop Angulo in a rematch. Angulo is done.
It's too bad Rosado will never be a top star in boxing. He's really a stand up guy with great speaking ability. He would've made a great ambassador for the promotion of boxing through his exciting style, character, poise etc. really just about everything. Listen to him congratulate Vera here...he says just the right things and means it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDSxUWl_k2k
I agree, he's very well spoken and has a lot of charisma. If he was promoted right, I can see him with a great following, kind of like Canelo. All things aside, he's still growing as a fighter. He started boxing at 18, and I see huge improvements each fight. So it's not too late to count him out.
It's unbelievable how he just keeps improving compared to guys who haven't been through half of what he's been through and already fade out.
Yes, it is impressive. I believe he's just a natural fighter, and definitely has a lot of years left in him, considering he started boxing late. I'm sad that the Kirkland fight fell through. I believe that fight could've put him on the map if he won.
Yeah, he must love fighting to keep improving as such, and yeah, sucks about Kirkland fight. It's all good though, he'll get another a shot, people love seeing him fight.
Angulo and Rosado are both favorites of mine but the stoppage was good, now the result would probably be the other way around. Rosado was too green at the time and Angulo was a fresh monster who hadn't been in many wars.
Not only did he start boxing late he was also a part-timer working graveyard shifts at Home depot until the Soto Karass fight at the start of 2012 - where his boss late him take the last two weeks of his camp of work. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/max-boxing-news/gabriel-rosado-blue-collar-story-hungry-for-glory I see his career to date as one of pretty much continued development - the only major blip being the Charlo fight which I feel was a combination of a poor styles mesh up (though Jermell really is pretty good) with an ill-advised move back to 154.
Rosado is decent at best . I cant see him being a champion at 160 . But He is very likable . He really wants to make you want to cheer for him .
