I agree with you... Santos is the kind of fighter who for some reason doesn't get respect and is not in the spolight as he should. I like him against Angulo but this will be a fight that will go to the fullest. It will be a decision fight. I don't think that Angulo has the total skills to get Santos in trouble plus I don't see Santos cracking Angulo's chin.

However, I see Santos having a hard time against Martinez. How this guy was not brought up in the media before? He really has some skills!!

Honestly, before we say whether Santos would have problems against Martinez, let's see Martinez against another southpaw. I doubt he'd be able to pour it on the same way unless he made some huge adjustments, and considering how Martinez leaves his hands down when he punches, he'd be wide open for Santos. Honestly, I think Martinez is tailor made for Santos. The guys who would give Santos the biggest problems are Dzinziruk and Simms, and Simms looked faded in his last fight, and I doubt Dzinziruk fights Santos again. I could maybe see Mora giving Santos some problems as well, solely because of the style matchup. After that, I think Santos beats everyone else at 154 right now.

I've seen the fight twice and have it on my comp but its a big file sorry.

Margarito was 5-4 up on my card when they stopped the fight, but noone can argue with 5-4 for Santos. The stoppage was due to a headbutt that caused a cut in the mid rounds. By round 9 the cut did not seem much worse but they stopped the fight anyways. IMO it was questionable and it was in Santos' hometown which is suspect to say the least. imo it looked like Margarito was coming on and he was gonna sweep the championship rounds.

Also, Santos' ring weight was 170lbs, Margarito 160lbs

just my 2cents. I'm a fan of both fighters.

At the end of the day i think you can safely say that Margarito is a better fighter than Santos.

I recently watched the Campas fight and was quite impressed by Santos in that one. I could honestly see how he could beat a fighter like Margo....

its another example of how good Margarito really is. Outweighed by 10 pounds and still took it to Santos and imo was on his way to win the fight when it was stopped. Santos is no slouch

Santos has a very upright/european style, theres not much body movement, he's constantly studying his opponent and appears solid as a rock..a real joy to watch:yep

Santos wins this easy at this stage of Angulo career but how typical is it that Freddy Wak chooses Angulo to win.
