    Am I right in thinking Capetillo (Margo's trainer) also trains Angulo.

    If so, who wants to bet he looks ineffective against Mayorga? Not saying he's been cheating as well, but he seems to throw destructive arm punches as well, thought it was a bit strange.

    Anyone have any responses? I'm not a hater just chasing up the strands. :good

    I assume now Capetillo has been suspended that Angulo will either A) Cancel the Mayorga fight B) fight under a different trainer.

    I thought it was a fight too soon when it was announced, now I think we're going to see Mayorga give this kid a beatdown. Of course, maybe he CAN punch a bit and maybe Margo IS a dangerous, heavy-handed puncher.

    We can't be too sure yet, but I'm definitely leaning to the guilty side. Seeing what Margo did to Lujan....and Cotto....it just doesn't add up to a man with his lack of technique.

    I agree it's like Margo came out of nowhere after being average at best. I'm sure the Mayorga-Angulo fight will go on with a new trainer but you have to wonder if Capetillo does this with all his fighters.:think

    Good point. I'm not saying he cheats too but it does make you think. Mayorga is gonna KO his ass anyways. WAR MAYORGA!!

    I'm wearing a Marg t-shirt as I say this so I ain't a hater. Would love it if Margo wasn't proved to be a cheater (a fighter as exciting as Marg can only be good for boxing) but just trying to get as much info as possible so we canc ome to a conclusion whilst we wait for the official results.

    No wearing a Tornado t-shirt out of support or anything, just the first thing that was in my drawer this morning! Will have to put my Hagler t-shirt on when I get home, at least I know he wasn't a cheater, and could punch on his own accord to compliment his awesome chin :good

    Angulo loses all credibility if this happens. Most fans have this date circled, with the big marker.

    i doubt it, Angulo was a pretty seasoned amateur and he actually puts his hips into his punches, but who knows.....guilty untill proven innocent right?

    Okay, my debate is null nd void. For some reason I thought Angulo and Margo were at the same gym, my apologies for bringign Alfredo into this :good

    I believe Mayorga can win; I also think that community buzz (as well as their respective career trajectories) could very well result in a meeting, maybe late '09, between Mayorga and Margarito...and that Mayorga coul win this as well.

    After the DLH fight people were writing Mayorga off as nothing more than an entertaining journeyman with some fluke wins over one of his generation's greats. Finishing off his career with retiring Vargas via MD (that really wasn't that close), losing a tough fight against a still-plucky SSM (who he almost outpointed), and then wins over rising star Angulo and former division kingpin/scarecrow Margarito would make a compelling case for Ricardo to go down as HOF...especially if someone like Gatti is expected to make it in.
