ankle and wrist weights

    what do you think of ankle and wrist weights when using the heavy bag?

    Dont use them on your wrists while punching, legs for good footwork. It could put stress on your rotator cuffs, I believe.

    I think you would be better off by avoiding both of these and instead using a weighted vest (w/adjustable lbs) You would be strengthing your legs and core at the same time as you slip and roll while boxing the bag. After a few training sessions (wk) you will see increased speed and power in your punches generated from stonger core and legs.

    I would use wrist weights for when I went running and when I shadowboxed
