    I dont know if this has been posted yet but there is an announcement that was made on rickys official facebook page this morning.

    it reads as follows.

    URGENT HATTON VS MANNY PACQUIAO UP TO DATE INFO 23/01/09
    Over the past 8 hrs reports are surfacing that Manny Pacquiao has agreed to a fight with Ricky Hatton, these reports are mixed in that some state he has signed the contract and others state he is due to sign the contract in the coming days.

    At the time of this update 09:00hrs 23rd Jan 2009 Team Hatton have not been informed of any of these developments, I have spoken to Gareth Williams and he has advised me that the only updated information he is getting is by reading things on the internet like yourselves.

    Although the reports coming out of Manilla sound promising we must stress at this stage, no contracts have been received by Team Hatton and until such time there is no fight. It also states in the reports that Manny Pacquaio has agreed a split of 48-52, if this is the case and the contract that is received by Team Hatton is 48-52 and not 50-50 as previously agreed then the fight does not go ahead.

    During Rafael's chat on ESPN.com, he said he heard it from Arum that the fight was for sure 100% on.

    man. hatton's team is still stubborn on that 50/50 verbal deal which is already more than a month ago. after all this time as well as everything that has happened, you think that there will already be a little flexibility on their part but none still. i think they're already being very unreasonable. the ball's in their court. if this fight doesn't get made, who do we blame now?
