Sauerland already has a content deal for German TV, which I'd expect this will be part of. Kessler is on PPV in Denmark.

 

HBO are showing the fight?

Good god HBO, don't get giving Matchroom a deal because you and Golden Boy are no more!

HBO is interested because whoever wins could be the next opponent for Ward, once he gets his tune-up out the way in August.

 

Pointless fight for Froch, he will never beat Ward. As much as he thinks he can, it just aint happening and Kessler, who is a good fighter in his own right, he cant touch Ward either. We've already seen this.

I believe there is only two fighters around today that could challenge Ward. The one will never ever happen in a month of Sundays, and the other is Hopkins.

Ward will only lose if he is up against a fellow spoiler, in a quite terrible chess fight where neither does enough to win, but the opponent gets the decision. Ward will never be beaten by "exciting" fighters like Froch or Kessler. As he works of them and turns what they offer, into his own attack. He is a disruptor and will go as low as needed to win a fight.

The question is? Can Ward do it when he aint got nothing to work of, and he is basically fighting a mirror image of himself?

I still personally think Hopkins would struggle to keep up.

So Ward is pretty much unbeatable at the weight. Nobody is good enough or even close enough to challenge.

HBO will be licking their lips, it don't matter who wins out of Kessler-Froch, it will be the same result either way and from HBO's point of view, they will want to see Ward keep winning.....and thats good enough for them.

 

We need Ryder/BJS & Purdy/Vassell

 

When's the purse bids supposed to be for Ryder/BJS?, can see Frank being awkward and dragging things out just so Hearn couldn't have it on the bill.

Vassell was supposed to be fighting Gavin but you never know whats happening with Frank/Gavin.

Think we'll see Mitchell in a decent domestic fight.

 

He's the evil guy off the 1st season of the contender.

Yes, it is. But it's mostly because they're scoping out what's next for Ward.

 

personally i think bellew deserves a chance to redeem himself. one things for certain, he and eddie both know that this is a career defining fight for him. i dont think anyone wants to sit through a repeat of the first fight again.

 

Anyone got any idea if were going to have Buffer over for this card? I know a lot of people don't care about the MC but as far as I'm concerned a decent MC like Lennon jnr or Buffer builds the fight up that little bit more.
