That's why it's on Sky Box Office, because Eddie agreed some eye-watering amount to get Kessler to the UK.

What sort of figure brought Bute over? That couldn't of been cheap at the time

Don't know, but Carl took the low-money and agreed to several stipulations with Bute's team in the event he won.

There is no garuantee anyone will buy the PPV??

Seems high risk to me, agreeing to pay a fighter shitloads in the hope you make it back via PPV buys.

It's not the brightest strategy, but if it's the only way Eddie can pay to get Kessler over, I suppose he thinks it's worth it. He stands to make serious money if it comes off. But already, I've not seen the same excitement there was about Haye-Valuev.

Doubt its Bellwe V Chilemba as todays announcement as Eddie has already openly spoke about that being one he wants for the undercard, but not realy in a 'great matchup' type way, more like, Tony needs to do better so we will give him the chance.

    Surely they aren't that stupid?

He'll get paid '£x' ammount then % of buys which will be forcasted already.

No i havent either but then that had an english heavyweight for the first time in a while, in a 'title' fight, against a man who towered him and dwardfed him physically-almost an easy sell in some ways.

Froch/Kessler, to those outside boxing, who never saw the first match, see this as an English fighter in a rematch (no disrespect at all), not the same levels to compare them too though

I read a while back that Froch and Kessler were both being paid £2m for this fight so the numbers are certainly going to be hard to stack up but I'm sure they know what they're doing.

I'm actually getting quite worried about the undercard for this tbh, I don't think Froch-Kessler itself is just worth PPV, thought we were gonna be getting the likes of Barker vs Lee , Ryder vs Saunders and Purdy vs Vassell on the undercard as well as Groves in a good fight as well.

What fights have actually been announced ?
