That would be ideal, but it isn't like that could happen now anyway. Pacquiao tried to get Garcia, but the fight was declined. Apparently he tried with Thurman too which I don't understand since Thurman has called him out so I don't see why that fight didn't happen. Thurman and Garcia are both busy with each other anyway right now. Brook vs Pacquiao would be a fun fight, but Brook is still recovering so maybe after Brook vs Khan. Honestly, because of the timing Jeff Horn may be the best possible option right now aside from Porter and Spence.

Dont u worry, they picked Jeff Horn for a reason.
Pac needs a KO win before his September rematch with Floyd

wow... thought this was all bs talk from Arum as a negotiating tactic for a different fight for pac. Never paid it much mind.

Its obvious Pac is on the way out, but even then... you still don't expect a fight like this.

Brook tried to get Garcia as well last summer, I think he was offered even more than Pacquiao offered him but Garcia ducked Brook too.

$700 ticket for this fight? The only way the blood will reach you there is if someone's jugular gets burst.

I wouldn't go budgeting for an air ticket just yet though. Fair chance Melbourne or Sydney will snatch this fight.

These guys act like guys actually want to fight Pacquiao even at his advanced senior age. Most fighters these days are too busy ducking to actually fight.

    Bob Arum :
"We did world tours with Muhammad Ali and that's what I'm going to do with Manny. It's good for him to fight all over. He might be president of the Philippines someday and fighting around the world is good for that possibility."

    More from Arum :
“Our preference is to have it free for customers in the United States."
“But if that’s not possible, if nobody will step up to the plate and do it – it’s not only HBO – then what we do is maybe put on some of our fighters from the US and do a split-site type of event and put it on pay-per-view.”

Australia as the venue may not be over the line yet

Australian welterweight Jeff Horn will fight the legendary Manny Pacquiao in April, but his promoters Duco Events are now on a mission to ensure the bout takes place on home soil.

Horn has been locked in to face Pacquiao on Sunday, April 23, Duco confirmed on Tuesday.

But venue for the fight is up in the air, with Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, the Middle East and the United States all under consideration.

Jeff Horn Will Fight Manny Pacquaio In Australia's Biggest Ever Boxing Match

The biggest boxing fight in Australia's history has been confirmed, with Aussie boxer Jeff Horn set to fight Filipino and reigning champion Manny Pacquiao in April.

The announcement was made at 2:30pm (AEDT) in Brisbane on Wednesday, with the fight set to be held on April 23.

The location is yet to be confirmed, but organisers are hopeful the fight will occur at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane -- calling for the Queensland Government's support. However, they do not secure funds and support in Brisbane the organisers will turn to other capital cities, and haven't ruled out the U.S. or the Middle East.

On Wednesday, Horn told reporters he'd grown up watching Pacquiao and knows his style well, but he's seen some weaknesses in the Filipino during recent fights.

"I've fought all over the world as an amateur and I've had a lot of fights against some top fighters as an amateur and pro. I've only had 17 fights and Pacquiao has had 67 but I think I've got the skills to win," Horn said.

"It's my time. I'm getting Pacquiao at the right moment."

Well i keep hearing people saying great matchups in america see decent seats go for 80 to 100. I know aus will jack prices up because its a big deal and a rare occasion for us but i really want to sit ringside for this..

Hoping melbourne steals the fight tbh. We are the sporting capital of Aus and wev got a good track record like setting the gate record for UFC 200
