Let's drop the "casual" rant, "real" boxing fans say stooopid shite on a regular basis and this place is a huge testament to that.
I just saw a commercial for The Lost City Of Z and one of the critics said it was every bit as good as Apocalypse Now. There's casuals everywhere.
This thread reeks of "I have no friends in real life to share my nerdy boxing obsession with. No one even knows who Lomachenko is!"
I hate casuals that like Mayweather for ulterior reasons and try to validate him being their favorite fighter by saying they like all slick fighters. They then go on to preach the "sweet science" bull**** and look down on offensive fighters that actually take risks.
Floyd is the best ever. Lomachenko is the best ever. Boxing is hit and don't get hit. Golovkin hits like a heavyweight. Staredowns and raising your hand at the end of a fight clearly shows who's going to win. You need to talk trash to be interesting and get a following. If you've lost a fight you are a bum. If you've been knocked down or out once you have a glass jaw. Golovkin needs to move up.
I had a guy tell me that Fury was better than Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket last year. Check out what Roger Ebert said about Full Metal Jacket when it came out. This content is protected
Oh well, Roger was usually spot on, but when he was off, he could be way off. Sidenote, I saw Benji The Hunted in the theaters. Odd seeing that mentioned.
"Canelo is so brave for risking his career and life against Cheesburger Jr" We al know dude will be drained to his nutz sac and become a stable punching bag by the 6th round
"Lomachenko needs to fight Inoue and Mikey Garcia to be considered the best P4P." jumping from Inoue to Garcia. When I read that it had me Lol
In Australia we have a very unpopular fighter called Anthony Mundine and when people who are casuals come to watch boxing at my place Will Tomlinson or Vic Darchynian might KO their opponent and they will say ''Mundine will never fight that guy''. They don't understand weight classes.
