As much as I've gone on about Primetime, Sky shouldn't be letting petty fallouts affect the quality that we get for our money. If it's true that Sky didn't even put a bid in for Mayweather/Ortiz then that could well be an indication that we won't be getting any more GBP cards now. It looked promising a few months ago when we got Maidana/Morales and the two Alvarez fights on delay but it's all gone to **** in the blink of an eye.

The only sport I follow besides boxing is football and I have no interest in the Premiership at all. If I'm effectively going to end up paying for the odd Championship game on a Friday night while having to subscribe to Premier Sports and then pay PPV for Primetime cards (when they're worth it) then yes, Sky Sports will be going. I'm hoping that they will still cater for boxing fans properly though.

I watch quite a few sports on Sky so I'll keep it, football, rugby union and league, tennis, nfl, boxing, darts.

Sky should just do a deal with Top Rank and tell Golden Girl to go **** themselves.

Arum has most of the best fighters anyway, apart from Chavez all his champions are real ones.

I don't think that you should be having Sky Sports if you only watch the boxing because it is a lot of money and if there's one card a week + the occasional US card, it's not really worth it. Boxing's not even my favourite sport, so I have no problem about content.

Wouldn't be good at all, slate golden boy all you want but bottom line is that they have Khan, Maidana, Alvarez, Guerrero, Mares, Morales etc etc.

Not good for the sport or the fans doing a deal with one promoter.

I have the whole package of everything. ESPN might lose UFC and Sky might withdraw from boxing. I'm waiting to see how it plays out. If ESPN lose UFC 100% and Sky stop showing boxing then yes I would cancel both channels. Boxing and MMA is what I want to see above all else.

Sorry if this has been answered already but I really am scratching my head about this.

The only people who say that Sky aren't doing Big Time Boxing are people on this forum, none of who I'd imagine work for Sky. Sky have dropped out of PPV until 2013, which is one thing, but nobody said they were dropping international fights.

Unless someone can provide me with a link proving this - preferably from somewhere other than another boxing rumour site - then I'm filing this one as bull****.

But hey, if someone has already posted a link and proved it, then apologies - I'll shut up and **** off if that's the case lol!

i ditched sky years ago i have a mid range virgin package covering tv broadband and phone calls it comes to about £50 i then have an alternative stream that is in hd that covers ALL of the other channels and the wbc channel fox sports etc for about £3 a month it also covers all ppv events , i probably only save a score or so a month but at least it means i dont have to deal with sky. im alot older than alot of you on here and have a hatred of sky from way back most of you are probably not aware but when it was launched you paid £500 for a dish and a box and all the channels were free then after a year it started with them saying we will give you nearly new released films for £2 a month and then it went to £5 a few months later and now all these years on we have a company charging around £80 per month or £960 per year to watch tv!
and dont get me started on that victoria wood we belive in better adverts !

Does that canceliing your subscription bit work?

I could use 6 months half price, but if they just took me at face value and just cancelled it I'd feel a right plum, think that twat Michael McIntyre did a sketch about the same thing with his mobile phone contract

Just say that you've been offered a really good deal by BT Vision.

You get put on hold for a minute or so before they come back and offer you six months half price.

It only saved me £22 a month but then I rang o2 and knocked another £20 odd off my mobile and wireless broadband.

I then decided to ring the car leasing company and see if they could do anything but was told I was free to bring the car back whenever I liked in return for a termination fee of £500. ****s

It all adds up, anything you have on subscription just get them phoned, doesn't sound like much and really it isn't, but better in your pocket than someone elses.
