The first one, Lacy: Was lured to Wales thinking that Calzaghe wasn't all that. Got hammered senseless.

The second on, Pavlik: Thought that Hopkins was done just because he lost to Calzaghe. They underestimated Joe Calzaghe and thereby ended up underestimating Hopkins.

    When will Americans learn?:huh

Well considering Calzaghe beat a younger more dangerous opponent than Pavlik last year when he beat Kessler, i dont understand why people seem to think Pavlik would beat Joe, even though past his best Calzaghe would also school Pavlik.

You can say that all day and I won't even criticise you for it. I used to be one of the people who insulted Calzaghe and discredited him based on my support of Lacy(which I still do and won't back off for a minute). Calzaghe deserves all the respect in the world, one of the greats of this generation and possibly the greatest fighter to ever come out of England/Wales, a true legend with first class elite skills. You don't beat Hopkins if you suck, end of story and he did so recovering from a knockdown as early as round one by making adjustments, can't prove true greatness more than that.
