Lara DID WIN that fight against Canelo. The outcome against Cotto was entirely different. In the latter fight Canelo won 8 - 4.

My post is the first one, so a moderator edited the title.

What was the purpose of that? I don't see anything offensive about the original title.

Obviously, most of you are clueless on scoring fights. Canelo won WIDE, not remotely close.

Guys, just because a bunch of rounds cotto was competitive in doesn't mean the scores should be closer.

You could have an extremely competitive fight ending in a 12/0 shutout.. you don't get quaternary and half extra points for being competitive. .

I'm surprised cotto was able to take that beating. He gave u to everythingredients he had, the far superior boxer and fighter got the well deserved win. Give me 3 rounds cotto WON, not foug g the a good pretty ose round, give me 3 shot 2 that he actually won.

And members on her are real fans.
That's like my pats scoring ytd's Monday night while Buffalo scores you FG's, so that should be a tie since both teams scored 6x.

Learn your sport erode postung a thread or xomment, I am a total moronsm.

    119-109 is terrible.

Canelo 7-5. Just cause Canelo could hurt Cotto and not the opposite way around doesn't mean that Cotto didn't win rounds.

The decision was fine, the amount of points Canelo won by is a different story.

So you missed all the shots Cotto caught on his gloves ? It was one of Cotto's best performances . My guess is you do not have a clue. Boxing Politics scored todays fight ! Following boxing and being a cheer squad does not make you a ****yst . You have a bias that blinds your view.

    Hey,

    I'm new here.

First: I believe Cotto outclassed Alvarez (I wasn't rooting for any of them),
Second: Alvarez was too big for Cotto to fight an open fight,
Third: Cotto was extremely intelligent, had a great strategy and clearly landed and blocked more punches (the jab was beautiful). For me, boxing is about placing punches, combinations and intelligent defence,
Lastly: true, Alvarez was stronger, still - he looked like a tree trunk trying to throw power punches only (no jab in his repertoire). When he hit Cotto it was blocked most of the time. For me, it was Mayweather : Canelo all over again. He was lost, not knowing what to do most of the time.

In the end, it was obvious that they'd give it to Canelo. People want powerful boxers. Technique, intelligence and finesse don't count anymore. Money rules the world and the belt had to go to Alvarez to make the GGG fight possible and good, GGG will definitely destroy Canelo (imagine Golovkin jabbing like in the Lemieux fight, Alvarez won't know what to do).

    The scoring: PLEASE

PS: I was truly sad when I saw that Alvarez knew he had won long before the decision was announced.

Canelo clearly win 5 rounds, the rest was very close. Great hype, and not so great match. It should have been in 154.

It wasn't a robbery but, was Mayweather-Pacquaio more competitive than this?
