    I heard that another belt is on the line for Saturday's mega showdown between Cotto and Pac. The WBO will be presenting the WBO Super Champion belt to the winner.

    For **** sake isnt there enough belts in this sport????

    WBC
    WBC Diamond
    WBA
    WBA Super
    WBO
    WBO Super
    IBF
    IBO
    Ring


    Thats 9 (im sure there are more) X 16 divisions = 144 belts

    No wonder the casual fan has no clue who the real champion is...

    Belt doesn't make the champion the champion makes the belt.


    Sad to say that at only 19 years old my love for this sport is only just really takin affect now when we have this ridiculouse alphabet soup drama goin on..... if only i could have been born 20 years earlier

    The WBO Super Champion belt was for WBO champs who had made 10 world title defences. In reality and if you think carefully then this is good. 10 defences means your pretty decent and loyal to that body.

    Giving the Super Champion belt means nothing in this case, apart from perhaps more sanction fees.
