Another Black Mark on British Boxing

Why is everyone shocked? its bulletproof Fwanks fighter,we all know if rounds are close,his fighters get it,if they throw and land 3 unanswered punches the fight is stopped,the sport of boxing is corrupt in Britain.

 

Surely a fighter cant be proud of winning in such a way?? Did cox give an interview after the fight??

I saw the first 4 rounds but had to go out so missed the rest, cox looked second best from what I saw. Such a shame we cant have a better control over scoring in this sport. Having not seen all the fight i cant comment further but from the sounds of it sai was robbed!

Hope the judges have to report on their decisions and that sai gets a rematch!

 

There is a maggot in the golden core of british boxing and that maggot is bent referees and judges.

The only way the African could of won that fight last night was by knock out and when it stops being a level playing field in my opinion it stops being a sport.

That was truly disgracfull last night the Judges, Ref, Promoter and Jamie Cox should all hang there heads in shame nights like that are killing british boxing.

Its so short sighted and damaging to the sport because we won't be able to get good fighters over here to challenge our domestic crop. It was mentioned on another thread that Frank is loosing his touch not being able to secure Bronner at home for Burns, well would you want to come to Britain and fight if you were a promising, undefeated, young fighter? and thats at world level pretty soon european and commenwealth fighters won't be fighting here. even international Journeymen will be thinking twice I doubt that american (Page i think) who got 'outpointed' by tom dallas will be in any rush to come back regardless of the payday.

 

The way they celebrated was very unsporting, boxing is a gentleman's sport isn't it?

During the promo Cox said 'I've been in the shadows....' Yeah? Well go back there you dirty fighter!

Promoters/Referees/Judges seem to think British fans just want to see the home fighter win. We want good competitive fights done fairly where there is a rightful winner no matter where is from!!!

Just watched this and its disgusting, not only should Cox have been DQ for numerous blatant Low Blows but Sai was clearly winning the fight anyway. Robbery at its very worst and I'll be making a complaint like some of you guys.

Just sat watching this fight, absoloute disgrace. Seeing VVarren in the background complainging about Sai's reaction to the low blows is a joke. The sad thing is I doubt we will see the African again anytime soon cos it would be to bigger a risk for promoters to put their fighters in with him.

 

Corrupt officials is killing the sport. I'm sick of seeing lop sided judging.

If you remove the point deductions, the judges had Cox winning 117-113 116-112 116-112!! WTF!?

Did they score the low blows as good shots?

Should look at their bank balance, do they get a 'little bonus' if a certain fighter wins?

 

Disgusting display. Punches the guy in the balls intentionally all night and takes his belt home. I hope he gets his ass handed to him by Arron if they ever meet. 'Better than Ryan Rhodes' my ass.

 

I hope Sam Webb gets Cox when he comes back, he wud destroy him.

 

It's a good point. I'd be interested to know the 'mechanism' which allows such decisions to be made.
