As much as I hate the pitty pats myself, at least they hit, and a hit is a hit...

At least it's better than the mighty POWER punchdrunk Pavlik, who hits hard but can't land a decent blow the whole night. A mindless bull charging who can't double up the ****ing jab!!

Yes thats true. He didnt school Calzaghe by any means

But i think he certainly beat him. 6 rounds a piece. and a knockdown for Hopkins. Boom

Yes speed is the first thing to go. Thing is Calzaghe was supposed to fast THEN.

Joe was 36 but he was still fresh compared to BHops 45. Calzaghe in his prime wouldnt have been any faster than when he did fight BHop, whereas Bhop would have been a totally different animal.

my choice still stands, younger BHop schools Calzaghe

And besides, Calzaghes never fought any REAL opposition until Lacy. How can a fighters speed just diminish when hes fighting cans and bums his whole career.

Unless Calzaghe fans want to use the Robin Reid card saying that was a valiant war which should have dented Calzaghes physical assets...

Arsehole thread by lets see, an arsehole. U ask anybody who knows about boxing and they will tell you who is more of a legend out of Hopkins and Calzaghe. Boxing is more than just having an undefeated record comprising mostly of ****ing cans.

Calzaghe is more of a legend than Ray Leonard because he was undefeated, hold on, or Oktte is the best alive cos he is undefeated. **** OFF.

Try explaining that to the ******s, all they can come up with is 46-0

Obviously your gonna have that kind of record when you fight the likes of Tocker Pudwill...FFS

    Froch ranks higher than Calzaghe

    :good
Yes Calzaghe was fast, but its not like he ahd slowed down when he fought BHop

When a split decision over 45 year old is one of your best wins and a 12 round UD over a guy who gets KTFO in his next fight in the first round, you know your ****....but wait no......46-0...

Bet you scored Lacy - Calzaghe 115-114 for Lacy. I can see why your location is madmans dreamland. Very apt. :D

Yes...it is another blemish because it should have been a win instead of a draw.

46-0, who cares. Froch has already achieved as much as Calzaghe and has only been fighting at the championship level for a couple of years. Marciano was 49-0 but no one thinks he was better than Ali or Louis.

    say what??

    46-0?

sorry but we must be wrong. Calzaghe must be one of the greatest and narrowly behind Sven Ottke, and slightly above Floyd Mayweather

Actually you should go on the Classic, theres lots there that say Rock ranks higher than those two.

I too agree that Froch has achieved much more, with considerably less than Calzaghe.

It's not knock to Hopkins' legacy that he wasn't given the decision he deserved. He completely dominated someone nearly half his age, many people didn't expect him to win or win in the manner he did.
