It's the truth. The only reason you made the gatti thread was because Gatti was well known. If it was some white or black boxer that died. There wouldn't be RIP thread by you. MAYBE if they lost to a mexican. then maybe we might see the thread.
now your using gatti :--( wow, you two have sunk to a new ****en low....doesn't surprise me though, i mean with your history and all....
I just found the fight on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7yg9fC_qoI&feature=related Watching it, I remind myself never to criticize a fighter for quitting. Life comes first. Many times we as boxing fans criticize such fighters as Oscar De La Hoya, Victor Ortiz, and Miguel Cotto for giving up when faced with defeat and applaud fighters who fight to the last drop such as the late Arturo Gatti, Israel Vazquez, etc. However, we must realize that life is more important and in this sport, we have to respect that fact.
Check the thread, man. I already posted it at the end of page 4, and Freddy quoted it on the first post of this page.
Some quitters should certainly be questioned if not condemned. That said, it pisses me off listening to Ferdie Pacheco questioning Gerald McClellan's heart or listening to Nigel Benn talk **** while paramedics are working on him as he's down in his corner.
Scar is a racist piece of **** who blindly believes he has every right to state racist opinions because he was brought up believing it is okay to hold racist views. In other words, his mother and father were racist and he learnt from their example. Scar also comes from a barren and sandy place that has never produced a world class boxer, so he is very bitter towards people who come from countries that have produced world class boxers, and tries desperately to adopt some of them as his own - like his fervent passion for PBF. His MO is to lay claim to such boxers and at the same time accuse anyone who criticises them of having no boxing knowledge, thereby attempting to solidify his claims of knowledge by aligning himself with P4P greats. If anyone ever presents him with an opinion that he can't defend with this method, he reverts to quoting PPV numbers and the likes. Go **** Camel #3 scar you dickhead :yep Now expect to see a reply from him along the lines of 'back to the lounge with you' or some longwinded, boring post about all sorts of crap, claiming he has superior knowledge of all things, but not actually addressing my points. Truth hurts, eh camel ****er? :yep Scar, take a bow, ESB thinks you're a ****wit :hi:
You are WAY off base on this one. This happens all the time in the U.S. One example... look at a guy like Rob Calloway... not a world beater but a very accomplished pro... he fought 4-7 Jeff Ford when 46-4-1 (Kansas City). 23-1 Tye Fields fought 0-2-1 Jose Flores (Iowa) A 20-0 Vaughn Bean fought 3-6-0 Brad Rone about a year before his title shot (Phillidelphi) I'm not saying the Chavez Jr fight should have happened, just saying that the U.S. is no paragon of virtue in this regard. Edit: saw the fight posted above; clearly not an unreasonable matchup.
