Yeah, take away some of the money that the fighter, the promoters and networks have all signed contracts for, just because he's getting beat so bad he quits on his stool. Take away someone's money because they won't go out there and risk brain damage. :patsch:patsch:patsch

I left the brain damage part out of my post after thinking about it. But yeah. In MMA Pruide, they WOULD dock your purse if they warned you about stalling a couple of times. And like I said above. Rubio was luck he was in his corner when the 9th ended.

Would you dock a guy for his corner throwing in the towel? It is a way to avoid quiting on the stool after all. What if the ref thinks he COULD have gotten up by the 10 count but didn't. Dock him for that? Another deduction if you go to a knee? I think boxing will do fine without your input on the rules.....

Thats what happenes when MMA fans lure into boxing.
No way will I ever ask for a guy's purse to be deducted just because he didn't finish the fight. There could be many reasons. I guess Vitali deserves to lose some of his money since he "on paper" loss to Lewis by KO.

The idea that Rubio should have stood up and took more of a beating is just insane. It is a brutal sport, but that kind of **** crosses the line into sick.

I wonder how he would feel if his son were a boxer, and he was taking that type of punishment.

You know Mike Pavlik wanted the corner to stop the Hopkins fight? Or so I heard.

Not really sure but I heard his corner was urging him on. They guy behind me was screaming at the big screen. "He's done. He don't want to come out. Look at him".

Yes, but that was a different case. Kelly wasn't getting hurt and for the whole fight, Kelly looked as if he were fine. He got stunned quiet a bit & hurt a few times, but he was never to the point where he was just in there to survive. Thats one thing I can give him credit for, he wasn't just in there to survive, even in the 12th.

Rubio was crying on his stool, and according to the spanish interpreter the corner was pushing him hard to go back out. Again, according to the interpreter, Rubio said, "No! I don't want no more!"
