I am impressed. He has good lead hand control, controls the head well in the clinch. Is an aggressive puncher who puts varied combinations together. Both in terms of power and placement. He will do very well as a professional
First chance I've had to watch and he looked very good. He had a steely look of focus throughout and seemed to have quite a presence in the ring for one so young and inexperienced. Sharp, quick, lots of variation. I can understand how there was such a buzz about him for the Olympics. Obviously the usual disclaimer about the level of opposition, but considering it was only his second pro fight there's no issue with him facing a slightly raw African, likely with a somewhat padded record given his performance. The guy was game enough to let Davis go through his repertoire prior to the corner taking mercy on him. Definitely one to watch.
I like his focus and his timing and shot selection..he doesn't waste much...if I have one gripe...he doesn't look particularly fast and sometimes looks like he admires his shots abit there was a point when ashelly was on the ropes and Davis spent that long setting up and telegraphing a left hook to the body that ashelly nailed him with an uppercut...plenty of time to iron out any flaws though Apart from that..lot of potential
Looks great when he is allowed to dictate pace and space. Ashlley allowed him to throw whenln he wanted. I'd like to see how he handles a real.tough pressure fighter. But he does look sharp. Good video.
