And they say they want to give him a title shot in his 6th-7th fight... they can go fuk themselves with their lies, not like anybody really believed them at all but now they are exagerating in the opposite direction. You want my advice? They give him 2 others like that and Rigondeaux will be an effin nobody in the pro boxing world, he is too old to be losing his time with such shitty opponents. It's not like he was fighting every two weeks....

    You don't get it...

That's Guillermo Rigondeaux we're talking about. A LOT of recent younger and less decorated amateurs are having way more difficult fights... WTF is Rigo doing vs dude who fought FOUR times in the last 13 years...

Holy toledo. This guy was off for like ten years, before coming back this year. Yeah, they are sure moving Rigondeaux slowly.

It's probably wise, though. People think just because fighters were successful amateurs they're gonna be monsters as pros. For every Oscar De La Hoya, there are 10 Mark Brelands.

His second PRO fight, 2 months after the first one, and definately NOT a step up... I don't understand how you all don't see this as the wrong way of bringing him up.

This is the best amateur of recent times. I know these are like two different sports but still, he wasn't the ****** type with no power, he had great punching power as an am.

his debut wasn't exactly spectacular. i think lara(my fav. prospect) tends to look far more impressive. we'll see.

He hasn't fought in what is realistically an eternity since his last am fight...there's also a chance this fight doesn't even go down due to the legal issues involved. It's a shitty opponent but all things considered, it's fine.

I agree its his second fight take it easy buddy. This guy doesn't have enough exposure to be fighting top guys yet and he's still untested in the pro ring. I'm excited for this card - Prescott, Rigo, and Lara !!!

Yall comedians or what? Who's talking about De Leon or Molitor? lol

There is actually some "better" bums out there with stats of 7-0.. that's already better than a guy who fought twice in the last 10 years and got a draw.... I mean, 99% of boxers could beat that guy and yet they give it to "their next big thing"... Gamboa and Solis didn't face such shitty opponents, and they were not as good as Rigo.

This being said, I agree, with the legal issues, it's better than nothing... I just hope they really step up after this useless fight.

I totally agree that he should be go the Gamboa road. Still, don't forget his 2,5 years out of the ring, hiring a new, non-Spanish speaking trainer (Roach) and the legal troubles with no guarantee until fight night he can or cannot step into the ring.

Hard to prepare to fight a solid 23-3 guy under these circumstances.
