Wlad doesn't care if you were entertained or not, he got the W and 17 million added to his bank account, plus hayden panettiere waiting for him at home. Maybe next time klit haters :hi:
Unwatchable fight, guess it doesn't matter though, your right. That should be it for him on hbo that at least is a bright spot....
I've definiely defended Wlad. People have constantly gave him crap for being a cautious (which he is) boring fighter. Thing was he knocks everybody out eventually, picks them apart, but I refuse to defend this fight. He fought a smart *fight*, good tactics, but he could have definitely done a lot more fighting and less pushing his head down/ holding.
agree with the above. He did dominate and played it fairly safe, and accomplished the goal......a win, and a one sided win. But I think he could have opened up a bit more after some of those KDs and took Povetkin out.........He started to open up on him inside at one point, then stopped and went back to the jab, clich, John Ruiz tactics.......
Agreed. It was strange to see Wlad open up on the inside - almost Fury style - and bully his opponent. Can't remember having seen him do that before. There wasn't much boxing and I blame Povetkin equally for that. I do think WK looked a bit sloppy at time, perhaps because he no longer has Steward in his corner. He could have used his footwork better and at times didn't properly set up his shots.
