Cherrypicking to me is when the trainers says "If I thought that Oscar could still pull the trigger I would have never let Manny take the fight":good

Great post. PBF is hated here no matter who he fights he will get bashed and no matter who pac fights or doesn't he will get praised as the second coming.
If PBF fights Cotto he was destroyed by Margo.
If PBF fights Clottey he's a nobody.
If PBF fights Berto he's a KO waiting to happen.
If PBF fights Shane he was past it.
If PBF fights Pac he's too small.
Meanwhile Pac can make these guys come in drained beat them and get full credit as if he beat them at they're best...un****ingbelievable.:-(

Easier to move up in weight than down.:deal If JMM is one of the best of his era he should be able to pull it off. Don't act as if it's never happened before.:patsch Shane Mosley jumped from 135 to 147 to face Oscar and beat his ass.

Mosley didnt went straight to DLH he had a couple of fights at welter first against Wise and Rivera and he was a very big lightweight while JMM is going straight to Floyd in a division he should never fight at big diference there.

Come on man you know what I mean.:patsch Rivera was done and Wise wasn't anything. The point is in his first real test he took on the best guy in the division.

Rivera was done:patsch? did you even watched the fight,he gave Mosley the hardest fight of his career up to that point and years later he also gave Vargas hell even dropping him he was still a tough test to anyone including Mosley.

It still gave Mosely two fights to get comfortable with the weight. If Marquez had to fights against journeyman it would at least give us something to measure his effectiveness at the weight. I didn't see Mayweather going straight for the top dogs when he arrived at welterweight.

 true, but I've been here long enough to know that Mayweather fans excused Floyds fight against Mitchell as having to get comfortable with weight as it was necessary to his success at that weight. Now, the fact that Marquez is jumping two weight class without even fighting at 140 is somehow "no big deal" and shouldn't take away from Marquez performance "if he is such a great fighter".

It would be like accusing Oscar De la Hoya of ducking Joe Calzaghe when they were both active just because there was rumours suggesting they may fight wouldn't it?

The guy was clearly past his best he was done. He had beaten no one of note in years.
