That same argument can be said for the current WW Champ Mosley ... True? :think

BTW, Floyd doesn't have a WW belt at the moment so it is acceptable for him to campaign where ever he wants. He's not obligated to fight only WW's because he doesn't hold a belt in that division. ..... But, Mosley is the CURRENT WBC Champ ........ Where's the rap about Mosley chasing a {As you called it} LWW at best ??

Is this another example of the many double-standards employed against Floyd while others get a pass ????????????????????????

Yup, there's the double standard there. People allow floyd and other fighters to take on difficult opponents gradually when moving up in weight. Floyd didn't have to fight the top welterweights right away when he moved up. Now we expect Pac (optimal at 140) to take on the TOP DOG at 147 right away just because Pac already fought DLH?

People shouldn't be pissed when Roach insists at a catchweight when WW call out PAc. If only the top draws were in the jr WW division, then we would have mega-fights ready for PAc. Unfortunately, the boxing stars are crowded at 147lbs with Pac on his lonesome at 140 (and that's only recently). So we should just quit whining and wait for the fights to be signed.

the lightweights are challenging themselves upward (JMM and PAC). cherrypicking my a$$!!

So what?, if he can make the weight then he belongs there. Manny Pacquiao can make 140 so he's a 140lb fighter, Paul Williams can make 147 all the way to 160 that means he belongs at whatever weight he decides to let his body go to.

You make it sound like Pacquiao is screwed or being forced to fight at 140. You know he chose to go there because he make it there, right?, if so then that means he BELONGS there and different opponents who can make the weight limit he's at also belong there with him if they can make it.

What I mean is that floyd did not fight margo, cotto and mosley when he was the WW champ and opted to retire instead of fighting them with a lot of money alibis leaving the WW division hanging while pac was a former 112 lbs fighter who started fighting 106lbs and now a bloated lightweight reigning at 140 who is being challenged by a 147lbs champ mosley who walks around at 160 - 165 lbs. I hope my pinoy english is good enough for you.

That is correct. Void refused to fight Margarito, Cotto, Mosely and Pac. He wants to fight a lightweight who is old, but still Void insists on his venue, his referee, his judges, his commenators, etc. Marquez is not making much money, Void is getting most all of it.

If your refering to fighter like cotto, cotto was not even a welter weight, he was a light welter when floyd move to welter.. In-fact cotto was one of the reason floyd moved to welter, because the WBO champion would not fight him at 140, the cotto camp elected to let Henry Bruseles take the asswhoopin that was meant for cotto, then cotto and Hatton sat in terror as Floyd beat Gottie like Ike beat Tina Turner . After witnessing the Gattie beating hatton and Cotto would not even mention floyd.

Void is a cheater. He is a fake hero. Ad the letter to the name Void and you get A-Void.

there is no double standard realy in my opinion. pbf is a true welter who has fought as high as 154. him picking on smaller opponents like hatton, pac and jmm is an established fact.

hatton was made to go up in weight, so was jmm. in this angle, pbf was at the advantage. and so will be if he fought pac.

lets not delude ourselves that pac belongs at 147. pac and roach already said that 140 is where they will stay at as pac has no business at 147.

just a year ago, any talk of pac vs. mosley was met by derision and laughter. and i still think that this fight will not happen.

mosley is simply too big for pacquiao.

Were you following boxing at the time?, if so I'm surprised you're totally ignoring important points/facts that took place back then. Let's take a better look at the scene before Mayweather's retirement. Margarito was booked to fight Williams and lost, Mosley was booked to fight Cotto and lost. The only two names worth mentioning before Mayweather retired were Cotto and Williams, even those had their own plans with Williams going on to lose to Quintana and Cotto being planned to fight Margarito by Arum even before he fought and lost to Williams. Mosley's story can go WAY back and last I remember he was called out for a fight but turned it down to make a fight with DLH for Floyd possible. It's not just "let's fight, get it on", it can be very complicated especially when you don't know about the situations surrounding these guys back then. I could mention a long list of fighters that Pacquiao should have fought at 135 too.

That's of course 110% reasonable yet Margarito calling out Junior Welterweights rumored to move up was gladiator-like to you.
